The manufacturing industries design and manufacture surgical products for hospitals. They need  to inspect each product according to its specifications.

Failed inspection of surgical equipments causes huge issues in medical field from manufacturer to patient. Manual inspection totally depends on inspector’s measuring and crack identification expertise. Manual inspection causes inaccuracy, effort, time and cost issues?????.

The dimensions of manufactured surgical equipments need to measure accurately and cracks must identify for good quality of products. Many systems come in market to reduce headache of owners of industries. But they still have cost, effort, hiring of technical employees and incomplete inspection problems.

In order to be successful, manufacturing industries need a tool to inspect every product accurately and precisely.

We proposed a fast and accurate automatic solution that uses digital image processing to measure dimensions of surgical product and identify cracks on it.

  • Manufacturer performance and product Inspection weekly reports 

Project Implementation Method

Project Implementation Method consists of following steps:-

  • The captured image is Filtered to reduce noise.
  •  Identify each product Uniquely.
  • Edges detection to create a design.
  • Cracks detected on product
  • Calibration method distributes object size per pixel.
  • Dimensions measurement.
  • Alarm generated.
  • Output stored in database

Benefits of the Project

Benefits of the Project:

The proposed system is used in quality checking of surgical equipments. The manufacturing industries design and manufacture surgical products for hospitals. They need a tool to inspect products according to its specifications.

Benefits of the Project are following:

  • automatically measure dimensions of products according to specifications of equipment.
  • reduces headache of owner of manufacturing industries.
  • maintain good quality of product.
  • resolve traditional systems issues i.e cost, effort, hiring of technical employees and incomplete inspection problems.
  • automatically identifies cracks on products.
  • generates a weekly report of manufacturer performance and product Inspection.
