Project Summary

We aim to develop a platform that uses Blockchain technology to facilitate real state and rental property transactions and their security. By tokenizing real property, assets can then be traded much like stocks on an exchange and transactions can be done online. The platform will allow sellers to tokenize assets, essentially handling it like a stock sale, and liquidating that asset through a token sale using the platform. The collected tokens can be exchanged for fiat currency, with buyers owning a percentage stake of the property.

Project Objectives

Currently, there are trillions of dollars locked in assets which cannot be exploited or to which there is extraordinarily little access to. Markets such as real estate, art, IP, scarce and valuable resources, are predominantly owned by institutional investors, leaving little room for the retail investors to invest in these markets. In other words, retail investors are only left with the possibility of investing in debt or equity markets, where there’s high volatility and risk.

This is where asset tokenization come into play. Through Security Token Offerings (STOs) Tokenization can open new markets to anyone in the world, allowing readily available capital to flow into illiquid markets, opening a world full of opportunities.

Due to the use of blockchain technology, we will bring efficiency to the market by providing automatization, transparency, traceability, and a platform running 24/7 where asset owners and investors can interact with each other. Asset tokenization should be about frictionless transactions, and this has always been one of the building blocks of blockchain technology.

Project Implementation Method

We follow the same rules of Agile Software Development. Starting with documentiona and then artificats designing and at last implementing the artifacts. We have multiple presentations on way where changes is suggested to us and in the next presentation we have to change our project, artifacts design acordingly. We do have meeting with our supervisor like scrum meetings in agile software development. 

Benefits of the Project

Our main idea is to disrupt the financial sector and become the new era of investment. Currently, people have very few options to deploy their capital, they either must rely on debt instruments or equity, which are high risk and can be very volatile, or store their money in a savings account providing them with almost 0% in interest. Therefore, it is necessary to provide access so that anyone can invest in assets such as real estate, art, or valuable and scarce resources whose value increases over time; they are profitable instruments and due to their intrinsic characteristics, are less volatile than debt and equity instruments.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

First we go with the requirement phase gather system requirement and wrote functional and non-functional requirement. After completing the SRS document we move to next phase which is building of artificats. After brainstorming on requirements we made Different UMl diagrams related to our project that best define our project and then comes the third phase which is implemention of project. First we start working with blockchain and wrote some smart contracts on it after that we start working with react and blockchain to build our website. We also use redux for smooth working of our website and also used react bootstrap for responsiveness of website.
