Project Summary

Medilance, the system is being developed as a solution to an existing critical problem of timely shifting patients with cardiac conditions to the nearest health facility which is able to treat their condition in timely and satisfactory manner.

   It is common knowledge that the patients who have had critical cardiac issues in the past are susceptible to have the same issues or even more aggravated issues again and need urgent health care. The system in our society which takes care of such issues is quiet lacking in technology, resources and professionalism. Also our system not only use for this issue but our system also help for maintaining weight of such users who wants to weight loss and very conscious about their health because in our system we included Fitness Tracker through this you can loss weight with running routes challenges and also do your routine workouts and check your Calories burned for each exercise through MET(metabolic equivalent) which is the estimated calculation of how many estimated calories you burned in each exercise and also track your BMI .

  Our system is supposed to be embedded in midst of all this and provide proficiency, efficiency and solution to this issue.
In order to provide solution to afore mentioned, our system includes the following components:

1. IOT device(Smartwatch) for heart rate and temperature
2. Android application for patient?s end.
3. Web application for hospital end and Admin monitoring.
4. Central database(Firebase).

Project Objectives

Our 1st goal is to design user friendly and very responsive app that solve the increasing problem related to health .Our objective is to design App that give the quick response when patient needs emergency related to his/her heart rate smartwatch will be used to take heart readings as we all know smartwatches are now become very common and most of the people have smartwatches and people are quite use to it. This app will be helpful for those who live alone and have nobody to take care.

Our 2nd objective is to build responsible and complete app that is helpful to weight loss and motivate user to maintain their fitness through coupons rewards after successfully completion of weight loss challenges .

The Scopes and objectives are summarize as follows

Project Implementation Method

Agile:

we are using agile methodology because Our approach was based on the Agile Scrum development methodology, which can be thought of as a series of short, reflexive sprints, this seemed to be the most suitable method of development because of its flexible and non-rigid characteristics as opposed to the traditional waterfall approach.

As agile method is the iterative method that’s why we are working with this methodology and our project is base on 2 different platforms we have to work with both platforms together and IOT base projects needs testing in every stage.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our final deliverable will be the android app for users which is connected with IOT device for heart readings and web application (Admin Panel) and they both connected with central firebase real-time database for communication

The flow of our final deliverable will be an android app that is used to monitor heart rate and give alerts to admin panel and hospitals when the dangerous readings will record. Hospitals get alerts through web panel and send ambulance urgently not only that our android application is also a fitness app that can monitor you fitness and give challenges (Running routes) for weight loss and after successful completion of these challenges user will be awarded with different types of coupons also user can do routine workouts and measure how much
