Project Summary

This project is based on augmented reality and a web-based interface. Ecommerce is a large platform and it hits the big market after the covid. As e-commerce is increasing, it becomes more difficult to convince the customer or to gain their trust. Because most of the time customers don't get the exact thing that they have ordered. Here comes our solution. we have merged e-commerce with augmented reality to gain the user's trust and make it more comfortable for the customer to buy the products. Customer is able to select the product and view that product or item in augmented reality as a 3D model in real-time in their own environment. Second thing is that we are providing a single platform to the sellers/vendors who are unable to make their own AR apps and the 3D models of items, they just come to us and we will place their products on our website and also make the 3D models for their products (based on contract). As OLX is providing the Ad's services to different people but the OLX is not selling its own products. Different sellers and customers come and make purchases. Similarly, we are providing a single platform for every seller to place their product on our platform. In this way, they just get rid of handling all that stuff like maintaining the app and making the 3D models for the products. Just like the cloud, Different sellers can place their items on our website and we will handle all that things. Whenever the user wants to buy any product he/she will scan the QR code from the app and check it in the Augmented reality in their own environment and after finalizing he/she will click on the buy option from the website and be redirected to the original website where they can place the order, we are just providing the AR feature. Third thing is that most of the products come in the form of unassembled things and the customer is unable to assemble that, so he/she calls the technical personnel to assemble that product. we are also providing the feature of animations to assemble. the user just clicks on the button in the app after selecting the item to show the procedure to assemble then the selected item will assemble itself through some animations and the user can easily understand how to connect the different parts and make the product operational. Using these techniques, we can capture most of the market and it will automatically increase sales.

Project Objectives

• providing a single platform to every seller/vendor like cloud.
• Make a single app that will work for all the products that are placed on our website.
• providing the Augmented feature to the customers.
• provide the feature of assembling in augmented reality using different animations.

Project Implementation Method

We will implement this project using the Servers( AWS etc) for hosting and storing the data. Purchase the QR code generator and QR decoder to get the link to the scanned item/product. Use the different SDKs of unity 3D and augmented reality features for the real-time experience.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This project is divided into different chunks. As the main features of the project like the web interface and basic Augmented reality features will be developed as soon as possible within five to six months because it requires the money to buy the server, QR generator/Decoder, and some other SDKs. After the basic functionality, we will move to the advanced functionality like the assembling feature.
