Project Summary

Be on time (BOT) is a mobile application based project which will be fully supported by GPS system and google map which will help the app to find users location and do the estimations accordingly.
Many of us are familiar with digital mean of transportation and we also know that companies provide multiple discounts and offers but here our product will provide unique points. The main problem addressed is that the travellers are always in rush so BOT will help customers to provide the safest journey by giving them a well perticular organized time period according to the speed limits of the roads that will be a part of their journey, so that a user X will reach on his destination safely and also well in time.
This app will provide unique BOT points which the customers can use on multiple plateforms which will be provided by our collaborated companies like food chain companies, fashion brands etc.

Project Objectives

This app will allow users to have a login system and registration system (for new users). It will provide them with arrival and destination time. After every successful journey users will be awarded with BOT points which they can use for multiple purpose with collaborated companies. We will also have our BOT website through which people can know about our company details and also have access link to download our app.

Basically the purpose to make this system is to provide the safest journey to the costumers, because for the past few years this has been observed that people always in a hurry so that they does not follow the traffic rules and they voilate the speed limits of highway, service roads, school area and streets. So in that scenario we are ready to build an app to provide them the saffest journey in such an attractive way that they can moreover  use our BOT points for different purposes such as shopping and dining which will save their money a lot by availing different offers. And these points will be awarded them when they complete the journey. Our offers will be interesting and attractive for customers as well as through this way our collaborated companies can grow their business as our customers will reach them to avail offers it will help companies to grow their businesses.

Project Implementation Method

For website: Html, Php, css, database(my sql)
For app development: Flutter (coding language(dart))

Functional requirements

• Users must have valid User ID and password to login thus creating their individual profiles. 

• We want user’s location access so that we can identify their source and generate a proper time to their destinations. 

• Map will help us to define a path and reached their destination safely.

• We want menu bar emerges by swiping from left and cavers half screen of our application.  

• Menu bar will include five number of pages (Profile, Home, about us, offers, contact us). 

• Profile: In profile page we have the information of a user and also the status of the BOT POINTS he availed.

• Home: In home page we have our map and a button called ‘Where to go’ and when a user clicks on a button he will set destination directly from map by moving a curser or he will search the area by zone and say he searched I-10 Islamabad then he will get his curser rightly on I-10 sector and then he has to move his curser for more accuracy to the exact location he want to go (say: his aimed street and a house). Hint: This home page will work exactly like the UI of Careem`s Home page.

• Note: this home page is a default page whenever user open up the application he will see this page at first.

• About us: In this page, there will be a brief description of our system, our company, and a CEO and team members

• Offers: In this page user can see the offers from multiple companies discussed above.

• Contact us: In this page there will be an option to email the company directly, or there will be a links of a facebook and instagram pages.

• Special Hint: A developer must have a look to the UI of Careem Application. Our system will pretty much have a resemblance with this. The Menu Bar, Profile icon on menu bar having BOT points with it, then the home page, Offers page, about us and contact us pages on this menu bar.

• When the time will be given to user to reach at his destination, he will get the button of Start. When he started then our system will use the GPS and when he reaches his destination point he be either rewarded or not. He will receive either ‘Congratulations’ notification or ‘be On time’ notification.

• The rewarded BOT points will be added to his wallet attached with his profile and these will be redeemed in an Offers section.

Nonfunctional requirements

Nonfunctional requirements of our system are mentioned below:

• There is a space to include the offers of multiple brands/companies.

• Secure access of confidential data (user’s details). 

• Maximum time availability 

• Better component design to get efficiency at peak time. 

• Flexible service based architecture will be highly desirable for future extension.

Benefits of the Project

Basically the purpose to make this system is to provide the safest journey to the users.

 Our offers will be interesting and attractive for customers as well as through this way our collaborated companies can grow their business as our users will reach them to avail offers and it will help companies to grow their businesses.

Existing System 
People always move from their source to destinations on daily basis around several times. For this purpose, they used their energies, fuels in their vehicles, and money on local transportation/ride-hailing vehicles. So we want to digitalize these movements and makes them worthy.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

• Successful journey/ unsuccessful journey

• BOT points awarded after a successful journey.

• Resumption of these points on multiple platforms

• Login Information: User can login with their name (username), email, cell number and password. They can also login from their Facebook id’s.

• Access: The system will fetch the information about location and notification access.

• Destination:  User will receive auto-generated by entering their destinations.

• Arrival: After successful arrival on their destinations, user will receive some BOT points. 

• BOT Points: These points can be redeemed on different platforms provided by BOT collaborated companies. 

• Unsuccessful Arrival:  If the user arrived before or after the provided by BOT, He will receive the notification of try again.
