Project Summary

In this automated world life, it is impossible without the use of vehicles. The usage of vehicles increasing 
day by day resulting in the increase of road traffic and also the risk of road accidents. Due to this human 
lose their lives and there is no immediate transportation to medical facility. The accidents can’t be avoided 
all the time but they can be reduced by reducing the occurrence of accidents. The system that has been 
proposed helps to provide medication to the casualties as soon as possible.
Accident alert system main aim is to rescuing people in accidents. This is improved rescue systems for 
peoples the main objective is to control the accidents by sending a message to the mobile app using 
wireless communications techniques. When an accident occurs at a city, the message is sent to the mobile
app through ESPN8266 module in less time. Node MCU is the heart of the system which helps in 
transferring the message to the mobile phone application using firebase server system. When vibration
sensor receive any jerk it will be send signal to the Node MCU board when the accident occurs and the 
information is transferred to the mobile application of controller/admin through ESPN 8266 using server. 
The user mobile phone application of the user will help in finding the location of the accident spot. The 
proposed system will check whether an accident has occurred and notifies to the admin application
numbers about the place of accident. The location can be sent user mobile application to cover the 
geographical coordinates over the area. The accident can be detected by a vibration sensor which is used 
as major module in the system.

Project Objectives

The importance vehicle tracking and accident alert system to save the human lives. It can provide the 
meditation and medical assistance in time before it causes any serious problem or lost. Human life is 
more important than anything else, and timely assistance is more important than lending a helping hand. 
mostly ambulance and medical assistance arrived late at the place of accident the reason is that cannot be 
inform or called the ambulance in time that is why they cannot arrive in time at the incident place. This 
system informs the specified person in time and then we can provide meditation and medical assistance 
in time.

Project Implementation Method

• Accelerometer sensor can identify the Vehicles shocks which is embedded in vehicles then it 
send the signal to the Node MCU.
• And Node MCU with the help of ESPN 8266 send the signal the signal to the server which detect 
the vibration from the sensor.
• Then it extracts the user information from the server and from the user application which is live 
location of the user.
• Then sent it to the admin or controller account, the admin get the notification.

Benefits of the Project

The purpose of this Project to investigated and developed a vehicle tracking and accident system 
embedded system to save the human lives.
The Node MCU controller used in this project is the controller that is used to control all the circuit 
modules.The accelerometer sensor ADXL 335 module is used to sense vibration or any instant jerk 
Through mobile phone application which is installed on the user phone we get the location of the vehicle 
and the ESPN 8266 which is built in wifi module in Node MCU will send the message to the server by 
using the mobile phone application which is installed on the user application user must be log in the
application then server extract the live application of the user then send it back to the admin accounts as a 
notification then admin by pressing the notification message which is received from the user application 
they can get the important information like driver name, car model and live location of the user where is 
the accident is occur the user must be register to system as a member of the this system.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The proposed system deals with the accident alerting and detection. Arduino is the heart of the system 
which helps in transferring the message to different devices in the system. Vibration sensor will be 
activated when the accident occurs and the information is transferred to the registered number through 
GSM module. Using GPS, the location can be sent through tracking system to cover the geographical 
coordinates over the area. The accident can be detected by a vibration sensor which is used as major 
module in the system.
Future work :
The proposed system deals with the detection of the accidents. But this can be extended by providing 
medication to the victims at the accident spot. By increasing the technology, we can also avoid accidents 
by providing alerts systems that can stop the vehicle to overcome the accidents.
