With the development of wireless communication technology, 5G will develop into a new generation of wireless mobile communication systems. MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) technology is expected to be one of the key technologies in the field of 5G wireless communications. Antennas are usually placed on the surface of the carrier to achieve the desired electromagnetic performance.
It can be placed anywhere on the surface of the carrier. Conformal antennas are usually microstrip antenna, stripline antenna, or crack antenna. The microstrip antenna has many advantages such as low profile, small size, light weight, and ease to integrate with other carriers.
The main objectives of the 5G communication system are to enhance the data rates (up to 20 Gbps) and capacity, ultra-low latency (1 ms), high reliability, great flexibility, and enhance device to device communication.
