The Idea is to prevent, detect and notify accidents in mountainy areas.
his system has three modules: an accident prevention system using sensors and
LED, vehicle collision detection and over-speeding detection.
1. First Module:
In our first module, we are developing a system that senses car from one
curve of the mountain road and alerts the vehicle coming from the other end
of the curve. We are preventing the accidents by using hardware that contains LED's, distance sensor and Raspberry pi which will turn the red LED ON when the car is near, yellow when the car is near, and green when there is no car.
2 Second Module:
In the second module, we plan to detect speed of moving vehicles using live
footage. If the system observes over speeding, it will save the image for
authorities to take an action according to rules. It will be software-based
3. Third Module:
Last module is accident alert system, which will send alert message to the
authorities of occurrence of an accident. It, also, will be software-based.

Project Objectives

The following are the goals of this technology:

• The signaling and buzzer keep the driver more vigilant to the road and react faster to risky circumstances, eliminating the need for point-to-point harnessing in vehicle automation. • It can also help to lessen the intensity of accidents.

• The victim would benefit from the alarm to the authorities, resulting in a lower fatality rate per accident.

• It is efficient and modular.

• It ensures the driver's safety and security.

Project Implementation Method

The project us divided into many small modules: hardware and software.
1) One hardwarw module is under the category of accident prevention system which consists of LED's, raspberry pi and distance sensor. They LED's and distance sensor is connected to the raspberry pi in which the code is burn which states that the red LED will turn on if there is a car coming from the other side of the mountain curve, yellow if the car is far or stopped due to some technical fault and green if there is no car on the other side.
2) Another module under accident prevention system is of overspeeding.
We are using different python libraries to measure vehicle speed that passes. Upon exceeding the speed limit, a picture is captured and stored. This information is sent to concerned authorities for further action, using an application

Now for the management part, we have used deep learning and trained a model using accident images. It detects an accident, using this model, in any given image.
Upon detecting it sends an alert to the authorities using said application.We will be implementing all of this using Internet of Things.

Benefits of the Project

According to studies, one person dies every 4 minutes in road accidents due to delay in medical assistance. Since our project is all automated and does not require any human intervention, it will really help in decreasing this rate of deaths.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our project needs internet services for its working, which is the reason why we have implemented it using raspberry pi. Our final deliverable will be a device using the raspberry and an application. We have implemented our hardware module on it. 
Cloud services will be used for our software modules.
Basically, the raspberry will have our hardware aspects and the will be connected to the cloud through internet. The detection of accident and over-speeding will happen there and an alert will be sent to an application.
Currently, we are not using the camera module to capture vehicles frame. We can use it on professional level for now it's just a prototype in which we will give videos as input.
