Project Summary

The purpose of the software is to provide a way for people to consult with specialists out there, while from home, offices or anywhere. Consultation services will be one click away, making it convenient for people to use the app via mobile or desktop. It will work on both platforms. People will be able to contact, consult or appoint their doctors and get expert opinions from pharmaceutical experts etc. The “Western Clinic Consultation” is software in which the communication between doctors/specialists and patients/clients will be done online. Providing them with a platform to discuss and consult their issues, strong keeping in the privacy factor. In times like COVID-19 pandemic, such applications are indeed necessity for people where distances are reduced, there is no need of physical approach and people can stay in touch with their doctors while from home.
 

“Western Clinic Consultation” is a new product. The product is supposed to be deployed in an indoor environment where doctors can advertise their specialization by using advertisements in the background. We see posts and banners on social media, buildings and different platforms where doctors highlight their skills and specializations for people to interact and approach them for their issues.

The environment is supposed to be a place of convenience and ease. A recommended section will be displayed, which will display relative services according to user entered query. The recommendations will be manipulated by the application according to location and query of user/patient. All the nearby services will be displayed.

  • Provide an opportunity for doctors to engage with multiple patients online.
  • Provide opportunity for patients to communicate online, without need of coming to hospitals.
  • Provide recommended and authentic medicines at door-steps.
  • Making interface convenient for disabled people.
  • Showing nearby consultants.
  • Keeping record of client/consultant history.
  • Keeping track of patient recovery/relapsing.
  • Providing emergency and scheduled pickups.

Functional Demonstration of Project
Actors:

An actor in use case model specifies a role played by a user or any other system that interacts with the subject. An actor models a type of role played by an entity that interacts with the subject.

Doctors/Specialists:

The doctors/specialists provide consultation to clients/patients.

Patients/Clients:

The patients/client avails consultation/services provided by specialists and doctors.

Advertiser:

The Advertiser manages advertisements to be displayed to user. Broadcasting doctors/specialist skills and specializations are also controlled by advertiser. 

Management Authorities:

Management Authorities are technical/backend team which monitors/updates the application. 

Pickup/Delivery Providers:

Pickup/Delivery providers are drivers who provides on-spot homedelivery, medicine delivery and pick from home services. 

Benefits of the Project

Consultations apps are getting popular but they don’t provide all the facilities in one place. This is the section where they lack. However, our app solves this issue by providing all the services under a single umbrella. Moreover, our application also produces a way to generate income for the specialists. Variety of ways to generate income are possible, for example using online advertisements, providing pickup services and consultation services etc. Reason being the ads and services will be shown to the targeted audience and will blend with background. By using this application hospital owner/ specialists generates income and facilitate the community.

The “Western Clinic Consultation” will be deployed on android and web. It will be a free to install and use application. The only payments that will be required are the ones which will be offered against services provided.

Security

Login functionality is required, for payment options security is needed to be considered in case of integrated payment feature, otherwise external methods for payments will be considered. Whatever seems feasible and secure will be applied in development phase.

Compatibility

The Application can run on any company’s desktop/laptop computer and android mobile. Internet connection is must though. As, it will be a web and android based application so specific platforms like Linux/Windows/Mac aren’t necessary, any will do fine.

Portability

The Application will be portable as it saves its data into separate files into database and cloud which can be loaded any time, similarly can be accessed from anywhere.

Extensibility

The system can be extended later with other functionalities required

In hardware perspective, following are required.

  • PC and mobiles are required for application.
  • Webcams are required in case of video consultation.
  • Printers are required for documents/image printing.

  • Python required for data mining, visualization and extraction.
  • Angular required for web-development.
  • MySQL required for databased.
  • Flutter required for android-app development.
  • UI/UX required for frontend, prototyping and GUI designing.
  • Microsoft Office required for documentation.
  • ParseHub required for data-extraction.

Users can access the Web-Application through desktop having  stable internet connection for video consultation and if built-in or external webcam is in working.

In case of Android-App, android versions greater than 5.0 (Lollipop) are preferred for smooth usage.
