Warehouse Management System
Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject Summary Warehouse Optimization SystemOur project is Warehouse Optimization System . In which we can figured out the VOLUME of the space as well as the product that is to be placed on that space, which can help us to find the way in which we can utilize more space in best possible way using artificial intelligence.
Project ObjectivesSPACE OPTIMIZATION:
Our Project goal is to identify best spaces for the product, by measuring and calculation width, length and height of the product we will be achieving optimization.
AUTOMATION:
Our project aims to automate task such as identifying spaces, product placement, keeping record, tracing products and predict demands for stocks on average consumption etc.
EFFIECIENCY/ACCURACY:
By using our software, you will be accomplishing the tasks such as storing, receiving and distributing inventory more efficient and accurate way.
DESISION SUPPORT
Information such as count of boxes and their size, volume, category, type of product will help you to make more concise decisions and solutions.
PROCESS:
Improve business processes and save time to focus on output rather than excessive processes.
Project Implementation MethodFRONT-END: Html, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap.
BACK-END: Python, Django
DATABASE: PostgreSQL, AWS rds.
ALGORITHM:
In our project we use Genetic Algorithms to optimize the space with in the warehouse.
“Genetic Algorithm (GA) is a search-based optimization technique based on the principles of Genetics and Natural Selection. It is frequently used to find optimal or near-optimal solutions to difficult problems which otherwise would take a lifetime to solve.”
Benefits of the Project Problems in market warehouses for storages- Excess stock
- Lack of space
- Low traceability and connectivity
- Excess procedures
- Incorrect time management
- Inaccurate inventory and outfitting
- Inaccurate Calculation and measurements
- Delays in the gathering process
- Damaged and Expired products
- Being unprepared for the demand
- Our application will provide complete calculated and measured, occupied as well as free space in your warehouse. Which will help you to calculate the amount of stock you are going to buy.
- You can search anytime how much and which products or stock are stored and where. That results in better traceability and connectivity as well as Calculation and measurements.
- Since touching the boxes too much can result in damage, decreased quality or lack of customer satisfaction, we will be measuring and telling the best placement for the stock, you won’t have to touch the stock products again and again, in order to settle or take out other stock. This helps to solve excess procedures, less time, Inaccurate inventory and outfitting and Damaged products.
- We will be storing the expiry date of the stock if any, in order to indicate if products are going to expire or is expired.
- Yearly arrivals and departures will help predict demands of the customers, resulting in your preparations for that demand in that specific season
- The Admin account is provided in web application to login on subscription
-
The will be able to to draw his/her warehouse’s blueprint(structure) , in following way.
-
Building Outline : linear horizontal/vertical lines and Quadrilateral shape will be provided in the toolbox at the side on front-end and he can drag and drop, and stretch, compress and customize these shape holding their corners with mouse. All the sides and edges of the outline will be linear, we won’t be considering the rounded or other shapes of walls in our system.
-
user has to fill below design with racks with drag and drop.
now user have to give length, wight and height of these compartments, so for that he clicks on a rack and view mode changes from top view to side view, and side spaces are shown. Admin user will input height, width and breadth of small units(racks) as well as rack stands.
-
-
Now once the warehouse structure is ready, lets bring in a user entity in action whose name is warehouse In-charge. • He will manage all entries of the boxes. • When ever the boxes come in he inputs the data ? No. of boxes ? length, width, breadth of the box ? Type (quick/long-term/freezing etc).
-
So our system decides the best place to fit. This way it will be shown after the entry boxes have been adjusted into the racks. And this is how best fitting will be achieved.
Also whenever the stock/product exits our rack/storage from the lower units, Ideally their upper units storage will be shifted down
the idea for fitting best boxes in places we had was from a puzzle named tetris. where boxes drop and we place them in in best manner that each line is completly occupied and
pops up.
