Vehicle surveillance system is an automated system which is based on image processing and arificial intelligence that will help in tracking down stolen vehicles and illegally imported vehicles with the help of cameras positioned at different places in the city.

Project Objectives

The main objective of the project is to build a desktop-based software system which will be able to access cameras to get images of vehicles and the process them using image processing and be able to authenticate and veify the vehicles credintials

Project Implementation Method

We'll be placing a camera in our campus and then use them to detect a vehicle, then we'll take a image of that vehicle and process it to get the vehicles plate's number and then use that number to get data from online excise database.and we'll use that data to match some of the car's feature's to determine the authenticity of vehicle.

Benefits of the Project

This project will be able to help authorities to detect any illegal vehicle in the vicinity without doing any manual work and also without creating any disturbance for the citizens. It will also help in decreasing the use of these kinds of vehicles and increase tax collection and also help in use of locally manufactured vehicles.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Final product will be a desktop based software which will be able to get images from cameras located at different places of the city and then using image processing technology it would extract no: plate information from the vehicle image and then using data classification techniques it will successfully authenticate the vehicle using its featues.
