This project is focusing on creating a chatbot to be used by students to get their queries responded easily. The University Enquiry Chatbot has the capacity to make friendly conversations; respond the University and Department details; give the ranking and acceptance criteria of different university; answer the frequently asked questions; calculate the fees based on the student's input; and give the address, contacts, and personal information of University.

Project Objectives

This project is focusing on creating a chatbot to be used by students to get their queries responded easily. The University Enquiry Chatbot has the capacity to make friendly conversations

Most of the existing chatbots lack empathy and fail to accommodate anything outside of the script. In order to address these problems, the University Recommendation Chatbot extends the implementation of the current chatbots by adding sentiment analysis and active learning.

Project Implementation Method

We will be making this Enquiry based Chatbot on Cross platform (React Native) by using Agile methodology. The Bot will not be command based so AI/ML concepts will be used. Model that will be used to train our chatbot will be based on neural netwroks.

Benefits of the Project

The most common frustrations by students include:

1. Universities Websites being hard to navigate
2. Not being able to get answers to simple questions
3. Basic details about a University — like address, department, ranking, and phone number — being hard to find.

Chatbot can easily solve these problem students can get their queries solved on a fingertip with no help required from the university officials. This will help us to cut the work force required to help student get this information, so the cost will also be reduced. Students can enquire about things from the comfort of their homes and don’t have to visit university every time they require a certain information or wait for an official email from the university.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final deliverable will include a cross platform mobile application which will also include a python model so that the queries asked by the user can be responded. The final deliverable will also include SRS, SDS, STS and other documentational artifacts.
