Project Area of Specialization Computer ScienceProject SummaryThis project purposes modern technology in which customers can move their luggage or goods from one place to another conveniently. It has two separate Applications, one for customers and the other for drivers. Customers can use the customer app to reserve a truck, while drivers can use the driver app to confirm the booking and move their loads to their final destination. Every trip request is sent to drivers who drive their own Vehicles. The nearest vehicle will arrive in a few minutes, and both parties will be aware of each other's locations through the GPS Navigation System. The system will organize the trucking industry structure by removing middlemen and providing a transparent logistic platform for customers to engage with truck owners. As a result, eliminating middlemen lower transportation costs, allowing customers and tuck owners to agree on acceptable shipping prices. Better service lowers shipping delays, which helps other industries that rely on transported goods to provide better service.
Project ObjectivesThe proposed application bridges the communication between vehicles drivers and customers in the most transparent and engaging way. An instantly responsive application that provides a user-friendly user interface. The goal of this app is to create a more transparent logistic network that benefits customers and truck owners. The application will be user-friendly such that customers can contact truck drivers and vice versa in a couple of steps. The Application uses the maps API to maximize the real-time tracking ability of the whole system providing Safety, security, and fault tolerance.
Project Implementation MethodThis app is implemented by using the flutter framework, which is a cross-platform mobile application-based platform that supports both iOS and android operating systems.
Benefits of the ProjectThis Application aims to make customers feel secure and comfortable in moving their luggage or goods from one place to another by booking their desired loader while they’re at home. Customers will be able to share their live location of a vehicle with family, relatives, or any concerned authority so they can easily trace their live location on the map. It will also help the drivers by making new work opportunities for them.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableGoogle Maps and live tracking API is integrated with the driver and customer’s application for the location connectivity of driver and customer. All the information is stored in the firebase account which is managed at the admin panel that is monitoring the ongoing app requests along with the customer and driver’s information. The Driver registration is carefully designed to enter Vehicle Details. Active booking has the option for Chat and Phone Calls between the Customer and the Driver. Chat has Push Notification integrated and enables passengers to order any kind of vehicle with their Smartphones such as be truck, tempo, a loader Rickshaw, or more for transporting goods.
