Project Summary

We perform all four functions with different inputs and check whether it is working or not. It is very important, as per the survey a lot of accidents on road occur due to reckless driving, and especially in a city like Karachi which is
densely populated it is not an optimal solution that patrol officers to catch each traffic rule violator and make them pay the challan. So, in this project, we proposed a detection system that can be embedded in any surveillance camera
around the city, and it will detect which car broke the traffic rules and it will send the automated generated challan to the vehicle owner. By doing this we can be assured that each cheater will be punished, and government can keep track of how much challan tax they collected. It will also aid the government to remove bribery corruption from the traffic monitoring system.

Project Objectives

1. Road safety: The timely checking of the vehicle will reduce the high percentage of road accidents.

2. Automation in law enforcement: The system being completely automatic, reduces the number of traffic police officers needed to deploy in the real field for checking traffic violators. With very few enhancements in the proposed system, new features can be easily incorporated such as More Empowered traffic system, with the help of this system the amount of corruption in traffic police will be reduced, as there will be very few traffic patrols officers how the authority will have to provide fine to civilians.

III. ECO-friendly system: Because of this system the fine system will be generated automatically via email or SMS. So, fines or challan over paper will reduce and paper consumption will less. IV. Vehicle security: The lost-out cases of the vehicle are increasing day by day; the stolen vehicle can be easily detected by comparing it with the registered entry of stolen vehicles.

Project Implementation Method

Phase 1: Frame Reading: In the first phase-detection system will read all the frames which are passed by a surveillance camera connected to the system.

Phase 2: Frames Masking: After reading the frames system will use the masking technique for easy analysis.

Phase 3: Violation Checking: After the masking system will compare each frame with the four violations that are provided for detection. The system will check which frame violation happened.

Phase 4: Extracting Number Plate: When the detection system gets a frame in which a violation occurred, the system will do number plate extraction to find out the vehicle’s information.

Phase 5: Challan: After extracting the information system will send the automatically generated challan with the violation information including date, and location.

Benefits of the Project

In the past few years, the number of cars increased rapidly, and, without any monitoring system, it is very hard for traffic rules authorities to keep an eye on each violator. Just like AI and IT is helping in other aspects of life to solve problem, it provides a solution in this field as well. A detector that will automatically detect the cars that violates specific traffic rules. And through ANPR (Automated Number Plate Recognition) which will be based on image processing of our surveillance detector. This detector can detect a car that violates traffic rules and track their number plates and store all the details about them. It will assist traffic authorities to keep an eye on everyone and make sure every lawbreaker receives a fine, so they won’t break again. By doing this authorities can maintain a good and smooth traffic flow

II. Processor: Core i7 8th gen or above.

III. RAM: 16 GB DDR4.

IV. Hard Disk: 500 GB.

V. Video Card: RTX 3060. VI. LAN/WLAN internet connection.
