In IOT, physical objects connected to internet through IP for internet connectivity and becomes communication medium between objects and other internet devices. Smart switches resemble your ordinary switches with a couple of additional features. They make us enable to use different ways to control and monitor load. They connected to different applications through smart devices over your Wi-Fi network so you can easily access your switches anytime anywhere wirelessly. The main objective of this project is to design smart switch board using arduino and raspberry pi used as input to the switch board which indicated the status of connected load remotely on or off through android application. We have tried to implement IOT so that user can control and monitor real time load data. In each chapter wewill be covering detail starting from background of the project covering its literature review, highlighting hardware and software requirement that is needed to design the system furthermore it cover the implementation of the system and highlights the implementation factor in details and its testing lastly give us the result and future work of the project we also be discussed.
Following are the aims and objectives of our project:
i) The main objective is to monitor and power consumption, current, and on/off status of load.
ii) It also control the load.
iii) It is easier and more convenient to use.
Controlling refers to the ability of the system to execute several processes simultaneously without generating errors. The system is based on a mobile application and a website that works as a remote control while monitoring, analysing, and storing data. On the other hand, the system on-premises is a touch screen device that has the function of a smart switch and can be controlled and monitored manually.
This section presents a system designed to monitor, control, and automate smart switches in a home or office environment. These switches can be installed on any appliance that is connected to the electrical grid of a house or building. The data generated by these devices are collected and stored in a database for later analysis.
The purpose of this project is the remote monitoring and control of the domestic load; its aims includes: to design a circuit which continuously monitors the different electrical parameters and also control the load at real time. In close to future, we can expect to see clever electric switch panels proliferating inside the market. We have seen some very simple variations of such panels to be had nowadays inside the portfolio of electrical add-ons producers. The Government’s electrification plan to attain extra range of household in rural regions is one of the elements contributing to the >20% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) growth this is predicted.
