It is basically the study that focuses on the usage of data and algorithms which can be used to increase the accuracy gradually by analyzing and processing a big amount of data.
Our idea is to design a gadget that with the help of machine learning can provide ease for the blind to navigate or to reach their destinations without any harm and independently.
People with a visual disability, on their own, suffer regular and constant challenges in navigation. The technical solution is of utmost importance and much needed. Our approach is to overcome this problem by developing an Integrated Machine Learning gadget that will help visually impaired people to navigate to a place with less struggle and independently.
Project Implementation MethodTo achieve our desired goal some steps will be followed which will help to deliver our final project. The data we will be used for input is a real-time video from cameras which will be whether implemented on collar or glasses. Then the input received will be processed using different libraries of python such as Opencv, Keras, Panda, and Tensor flow. The processing will differentiate between the obstacles and the surface on which the user has to walk. After the detection and identification of the path from the real-time video, the output will be given to the user with the help of earphones or some other audio device. The guidance will be provided to the user or patient using any audio device which will be handy for the user.
Benefits of the Project
Many people have a disability of blindness or low vision, due to which they face many issues. This project introduce an arrangement in which sightless or low vision people can detect an obstacle with distance and voice alerts. The algorithm of this system is based on the real-time picture or video concept. The working is basedon image processing and machine learning techniques that detect the obstacle through a camera and inform them about the pathway. The main goal of the proposed work is to provide good accuracy and performance results and make life easier for them.
The milestone to be achieved by this project is to make life easier for visually impaired and low vision people and to attain 70% accuracy and create an innovative gadget so that they can perceive and navigate the world.
