Project Title
The Vision
Project Area of Specialization
Project Summary
The Vision, a glasses mounted with camera and sensors use artificial intelligence to extract information from images, enabling users to ‘see’ the world around them through the spoken word.
The Glasses will be able to recognize text and scripts in English languages describe surroundings, detect colors, and read short pieces of text, such as public transport information.
Our desire is to empower blind and visually impaired people with greater independence and access to the visual world, including things many of us take for granted, like reading text from a book, newspaper, magazine, computer, tablet or smartphone screen, perusing a product label, opening and reading a handwritten card or letter from a loved one, or running a business meeting without the need for assistance.
Project Objectives
- Raspberry Configuration with Sensors
- Wireless Adapter
- Cameras
- Mic
- Speaker
- Real Time Data from Sensors for processing
- Raspberry Pi Zero W for hardware setup (C/C++)
- A utility software on phone to handle and process the data and speak out the result to user via headset. (Flutter Dart)
Project Implementation Method
Functionalities:
- Raspberry Pi Configuration with Sensors
- Real Time Data from Sensor to Raspberry Pi
- Data Transfer from Raspberry to Mobile App and vice versa
- Native Mobile Application to process images from api’s
- Read out Result from Raspberry to headphones
Benefits of the Project
The Vision will help those people out there where normal people don’t really care about them. They mock them by being special person. So in order to encounter that issue the Vision will give them an edge to survive in this world hence playing role towards better, smart and healthy life for people.
