Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject Summary Automation of the surrounding environment of a modern human being allows increasing his work efficiency and comfort. There has been a significant development in the area of an individual's routine tasks and those can be automated. Home Automation System (HAS) has been designed for mobile phones having Android platform to automate an iot interfaced Arduino which controls a number of home appliances like lights, fans, bulbs and many more using on/off relay and.Security has always been a concern for people since the beginning. Everyone wants to feel more secure and wants more control on fingertips. These days, technology has reached at its peak and is playing a vital role in our daily lives as well. So why not use it for our own benefit, safety and security?
There are many researches going on regarding face recognition. So we decided to use it for security. Our project will be about home security using face recognition to lock or unlock the door. Home safety is also included in our project which will notify the users if there is fire or high temperature in house. And in last, there will be home automation as well. Turning the lights and fans on and off from anywhere you want will be very cost effective and energy efficient. This will be done using Arduino UNO , Node mcu and and C# Programming.
Project ObjectivesThe objective of this project is to make the life of people more secure and convenient. Security is a big risk especially in third world countries where home robberies and home burglaries are common. Breaking the regular lock is not very difficult for burglars nowadays. So with the help of face recognition technique, it will be very much difficult for burglars to trespass the house. The door will only be unlocked for authenticated persons. If some will try to enter forcefully, the camera will take picture of that person and send it to the admin immediately.
To make home safer, we will attach a temperature sensor with it. If system detects unusual change in temperature, it will notify all the users to stay alert.
to make rooms intellegent we will use couple of logics through different sensor to automate the room things or appliences
And to make automation easier, we will attach lights and fan with it so that you can control them right from the place where you are sitting with your mobile using internet connection.
also we make gardining easier and water tank also ,no need to plant wattring and water motor switch on off manually

Room) we use 2 ir sensor as a person counter like when person inside the room the counter value increase 0 to 1 and it check all logics like if temp is above 26 it trun on the fan or outher checking condition as well and vise verse
WaterTank Smoke detect Plants Watering) we place sonar sensor in the top of the water tank it will show current water level on Blynk app on our mobile if level below the certain level it notify u .also same it for gardening and fire alarm as well

Benefits of the ProjectWith the advancement in technology, the number of electronic devices in our day-to-day Life has increased to make life simpler. So there is necessity to construct a trustable Remote System that will easily control all these devices from a distance will not only reduce the complexity of handling the number of devices simultaneously, but also save power. This report presents overall design of Home Automation and Security System. This is an IoT based project. After research, we make a successful prototype. Using the cloud website and Arduino technology we design a Home Automation System where the entire electrical item will be controlled. Using the internet people can also monitor room temperature, Gas occurrence in kitchen, detect human in room through the user friendly Web Application and also makes a email notification system. Also we make our system intelligent like it take decisions on behalf of sensors e.g. if person present in room the system detect the temperature and on the necessary thing like fan, ac also we use LDR device to sensing day and night situation.
Technical Details of Final Deliverablethis project is based on hardware and software and its based on nits complete prototype.we give you complete home automation project which include;
person counter , temperature sensing, water level sensing, smoke and fire safty, light detection , light on off with timer , auto fan on off based on temperature and person room inside and mainly image processing door lock and unlock system.
