The operation includes three basic parts: data acquisition system (DAQ); power conditioner; control strategy.
A low cost microcontroller based solar radiation measurement and data acquisition system is designed to give computer based monitoring acquisition system for the measurement of humidity, temperature, voltage, and current parameters.
Aim of this project is to create a PV analyzer to measure the PV panel parameters in the real sun and to plot them using data acquisition system. The usage of PV panel is increasing with the passage of time and in order to use these devices efficiently we must know about the errors in it so that we can fix it and get maximum advantage. For this purpose, we are deciding to make a device that can measure the performance of a PV panel and can show the result graphically on the screen.
The operation includes three basic parts: data acquisition system (DAQ); power conditioner; control strategy.
The DAQ part of the I–V tracer is to read in the current and voltage values from the PV module terminal. The resolution of the I–V tracer depends on the number of measurement points. Commercial-scale PV arrays need to record large amounts of data. Therefore, the DAQ of the I–V tracer needs to be fast and have large data storage spaces.
The power conditioner part is used to change the load profile to capture the full IV characteristics of the PV source for data acquisition.
The control strategy refers to the method used to control the power conditioner and data acquisition for the IV characteristics.
