Techno Helmet for Bikers
A motorcyclist faces risky situations when riding a bike without a safety helmet or side mirror and receiving a call while riding without taking any safety measures. In case of an accident, it is also observed that the accident can turn into havoc due to a lack of communication with the rescue department. Moreover, while riding on the bike a phone call distracts the focus of rider from driving. If bike indicators are out of order then it will be difficult for the rider to drive properly. According to the Global status report on road safety 2018, the total number of road traffic deaths remains unacceptably high at 1.35 million per year. Statistics also suggest that 54% of these deaths were due to the two-wheeler motor-bikes and scooters. Through the study, it was identified that a major percentage of two-wheeler accidents were due to violation of traffic rules by the riders. Therefore, this project is designed to introduce safety systems for the motorcyclist to wear the helmet properly. The safety system applied in this project meets the characteristics of a perfect rider and the application should be highlighted. Motorcyclists will be alarmed when the speed limit is exceeded with the back view facility. A Force Sensing Resistor (FSR) and BLDC Fan are used for detection of the rider's head and detection of motorcycle's speed respectively. The helmet will be also equipped with indicators and automatic call receiving options. The project is expected to improve safety and reduce accidents, especially fatal to the motorcyclist.
The main objectives of this project are to design a smart helmet that will help the bike rider without taking eyes off the road and without getting distracted by a phone call which decreases the risk of an accident. The helmet will display the rearview in real-time and will be further connected to the mobile phone via Bluetooth. Also, LCD displays the Google map on it. This project supports the road safety campaign while with its practical applications to save lives and reduce the number of accidents. If an accident happens then GSM module will directly send the SMS with location to the given specific numbers. If the bike indicator is out of order then extra indicators outside of the helmet will help us on the helmet. Seldomly people forget to wear the helmet for the sake of it we will use a force sensor resistor at the helmet and without that helmet bike will not start.
This project can be mainly divided into two main sections which are theoretical and experimental.

2) Experimental Set-Up
This Project is based on two units, a helmet unit, and a bike unit. Helmet unit consists of FSR ( force sensing resistor), Mic Bluetooth Speaker, L/R Indicators, Gyro Sensor, WIFI module RF transmitter, GSM modem, GPS modem, Camera LCD display, Power supply. Bike unit consists of RX receiver, Arduino, Switch, Power supply unit. The whole system is controlled by Arduino /Raspberry Pi. Different functions are controlled by using sensors. The Arduino / Raspberry Pi is placed in the helmet unit. The inputs from different sensors are given to the Arduino unit and which is analyzed by the Arduino / Raspberry Pi.
In recent years, the Pakistani motorcycles industry has been among the fastest in the World. Indeed, the milestone of 1 million units had been hit for the first time only in 2015 and now the market is already running towards the 2 million annual sales. Following the over 1.4 million sales achieved in
2017, the market further boomed in 2018, with a record of 1,900,382 sales. up 6.6%, and scoring the new All-Time Record. Moreover, Pakistan is already enforced regulation that requires the motorcycle's rider to wear a helmet when riding on their motorcycle. For this reason, the same demand goes for buying a helmet in a similar fashion. Therefore, this project is designed to introduce safety systems for the motorcyclist to wear the helmet perfectly.
A technologically advanced helmet that will be equipped with all the necessary features to connect the bike through force-sensing resistor. The bike will only start if the rider wears the helmet. Other features of the techno helmet are as follows:

3) Emergency SMS option to the rescue team in case the accident happens
