Project Summary

According to Research 1.9 Billion of Muslims exist in the World. Prayers (Namaz) is one of the Five Pillars in the Islamic faith and an obligatory religious duty for every Muslim, for men it is obligatory to offer prayers (Namaz) in congregation in the mosque but there are many people who can’t offer prayers (Namaz) in congregation because they are unable to hear and see, While they are performing prayers (Namaz) in congregation they face many difficulties. So we want to make solution for them through Image processing and vibration. Through Image processing and vibration when they (disable) perform congregational prayer the sensor performs different vibrations with different Images for example if imam is in sajida the camera will take the picture of imam and generate some frequency. Through vibration frequency the disable person easily feel the vibration and can understand now we have to go for sajida etc.

Project Objectives

To support Deafblind people in Congregational Prayer as they(Deafblind People) can perform congregational prayer through camera, vibration frequency and Microprocessor. 

Project Implementation Method

Project Implementation begins with following major milestones. We have achieved some of them already and remaining would be achieved in coming 3 months. We are done with literature review. We have our world renowned dataset for positions in prayer(Namaz). We have finalized algorithms (a hybrid one) and got 96.59% accuracy and came with the results which would make our device capable enough to detect the position of imam. we have done the work of Image processing in PC now we are looking forward to do it in microprocessor and connect the camera and vibrating wearable sensors with microprocessor as we can identify the position of imam in run time and deafblind people can understand it(position of imam) with the help of different vibration.  

Benefits of the Project

The major benefit of this project is to support Deafblind People in congregational prayer, Through this project the deafblind people can easily perform Congregational Prayer.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Final deliverable is going to be the combination of both software and hardware (supporting deafblind in congregational prayer). Our hardware would have at least 4 thing: camera(to capture the images of image when imam perform prayer in congregation), microprocessor(To to the work of image processing and identify the position of imam), vibrating sensor (to perform different vibration in different postion), Wi-Fi module (to transfer data from device to software), raspberry pi would be used initially as microprocessor.
