Quality education is a basic right of every individual. People around the world agree that education is the key element in making progress towards a civilized society. In a culture where other than traditional schooling, assisting through tuition is common, finding a skilful and trustworthy tutor is always a difficult task. This becomes more difficult for metropolitan cities like Faisalabad where people face difficulty in finding a good tutor due to the lack of trust, safety, security and transportation costs.
In this project, we will discuss an application called, STConnect (Student Teacher Connection), a location-based searching system that can help in finding a tutor close to one’s location or according to the requirements by using the Google’s maps etc.
For example, a student from Manawala, Faisalabad wants to find a home tutor for Compute Science when he/she will open our app, our app will show him/her the nearest teacher related to Compute Science field using Geolocation (Maps). Similarly other students can find the other teachers according to their specific fields or we can say that according to their requirements.
To maintain the security, we will also verify the teachers through email or phone number etc when he/she create the account on our app. We will also authenticate teachers as well as students by different criteria. We will also include some other unique features in our project that will be make it effective and unique. It is a massive solution to address the large number of problems mentioned above.

For example, a student from Shahdara, Lahore wants to find a home tutor for Political Science when he/she will open our app, our app will show him/her the nearest teacher related to Political Science field using Geolocation (Maps). Similarly other students can find the other teachers according to their specific fields.
The main goal of the project is to promote the quality education and to facilitate students and teachers. Using this mobile app, the process of finding a reliable tutor is very easy. On the other hand, it is very easy for a teacher to find a student according to requirements.
The main objectives of our project STConnect are given below:
- To communicate the students and teachers.
- To find a teacher about a specific subject in a specific area.
- To authenticate the teacher and as well as student.
- To find a teacher, organization can also post a request.
- To find a student about a specific subject in a specific area.

Project Implementation MethodDevelopment Methodology is one of the amongst the necessary stages throughout projects development. It plays a significant role in code development as a result of it ensures that the software package is created and delivered in line with methodology. This chapter provided details on the life cycle of STConnect project, feasibility study and project programming.
The Prototyping Model has been chosen for the project. Basically, the Protype methodology is a way to manage a project by breaking it up into several phases. It involves constant collaboration with stakeholders and continuous improvement at every stage. First of all, requirements are gathered. Once the requirements are collected, team cycles through a process of Quick Design, Build Prototype, Evaluate with Users and Refine Prototype. Continuous collaboration is vital, both with team members and project stakeholders. The following figure show the working of this methodology.
Selection of methodology is the most delicate part of software development because your whole project, time, hard work depends on the methodology you choose. For instance, you want to make a project that will not require any further changes in future then you should adopt waterfall methodology. But for our project we are using prototype methodology.This method handles many things which importantly includes risk management because it helps to check risk in every iteration as well as in development and testing. In this way we can improve the performance of our project in each iteration according to the requirements of users.

Difficulties sometimes mentioned throughout the feasibility phase are the following:
- Our project is feasible because the tools which we are using are easily available in the market.
- Our app will be working on android phone. App will not require a costly mobile phone; costly phones are not easily arranged by many of the teachers and students.
- We provide feasibility in other ways like signup process and finding your relative fields in app.
User-friendly describes software user interface that is easy to use. It is "friendly" to the user, meaning it is not difficult to learn or understand. Our app will provide an effective UI that can be easy to use.
Application is going to be developed on open-source software like Flutter, Firebase, internet explorer etc. This software package works on each android mobile phone. So, there are following tools and technologies that we are used to develop our application:
- Flutter (Dart)
- Django (Python Framework) or other
- Firebase Database or other
- Maps (GeoDjango) etc.
A mobile based application designed for the purpose of connection between teachers and students within the specific location and requirements. An area of fixed location will be set using geo-location. Teacher can register himself or herself with specific field. Student can also register himself or herself with specific requirements. After registration they can communicate with each other. In this way users can fulfil their requirements by using our app just through some clicks and can save their resources.
