Solar Powered Tractable Main Gate
Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryOpening and closing the door does not seem much of a troublesome chore to do. However, when it comes to opening it many times a day, it becomes frustrating, especially when one is already indulged in their spadework or if an urgent delivery goes back due to nonattendance at the door. The person might not want to open up the gate for a stranger. Modern electrical automation has made life more sophisticated, manageable, and economical. So, what is better than a smart tractable main gate that is solar-powered? The idea is to develop a solar-powered motor-driven sliding gate that can be remotely accessed and operated through a mobile application as well as a manual control switch equipped with a smart monitoring system and surveillance camera.
This automatic door is a movable automated barrier installed at the entry of a room or building to restrict access, provide ease of opening a door, or provide visual privacy, and is controlled by an intelligent gate controller system. To keep this project as environmentally friendly as possible, we shall be supplying solar energy as the input source for the motor. The motivation behind starting this project was that typical mechanical gates installed in homes and industries necessitate frequent human intervention to open and close, resulting in a waste of time, concentration, human resources, and sometimes even financial resources when we hire a guard. Based on the design calculations, we narrowed our options to select the most appropriate components for our project that are both cost-effective and power-efficient.
Project ObjectivesThe idea is to develop a solar-powered motor-driven sliding gate. That can be remotely accessed and operated and is also accessible through a mobile application. A camera is installed for 24-hour surveillance. And an electronic sensor for detection of objects in the proximity.
Problem Formulation
Our client needs a tractable gate to control using a remote and mobile application connected to the cloud. This product will open and close the gate and different lengths based on input through remote/application. Solar energy is used as a power source to keep our project environment friendly
Cost Efficiency
As we are all aware, solar power is more cost-effective than any other energy source, and the primary power source of our project is solar. We ensure the best components for our product that provide low financial value and the best efficiency.
Environment Friendly
We opted for solar panels to power the gate mainly to make our project environment-friendly. Because of the lack of harmful environmental side effects associated with its use, solar energy is generally referred to as a "Green" energy source which is the future.
Hassle-Free Entry
Our remote-controlled product allows access to the gate without actually physically approaching the gate. Thus, providing hassle-free entry and reducing human intervention.
Project Implementation MethodThe aim of the project is to attain environmentally friendly power consumption through solar panels. Automate the gate remotely through the mobile app. To install a built-in mechanism that alerts the owner.
