Solar energy is most abundant form of the available alternative energy in nature and can be converted into electrical energy by using PV cells. With the positive efficiency of solar PV cells it makes a major problem that several environmental factors affect its efficiency, which are dust and filthy particles. The scope of this work is to create an automated solar panel cleaner that will wipe off the deposition of filthy particles on surface of solar panels. This project targets to expand the efficiency of solar panel by cleaning the surface of Solar panel and wiping off the dust which decreases its efficiency. The project develops a techniques of cleaning that include the turning of barrel shaped brush (roller) for cleaning the dust particles and water spray to ensure maximum cleaning. This project additionally plans to decrease the human involvement and the time spent during cleaning the solar panel.
Project Objectives“To ensure the cleaning of Solar panels in order to maximize panel’s efficiency”.
Project Implementation MethodThis project is going to be implemented inorder to achieve an automatic cleaning robot,( which include a roller mechanism to clean the dust on the pannel surface,soloniod valve is used to control the flow of water and finally a wiper is used to wipe out the water), which is capable to clean the plates of panel from dust and stain.
Benefits of the ProjectThe main benifit of the project is to increase the efficiency of the PV panel, which is deacreased by the dust practicles on the surface of pv pannel. It also deacreases the human efforts and also save the time by doing the cleaning of pv pannel automatically by using this project.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThis robot will efficiently run on the track( edges of the the pv panel) in horizental axis. Finally robot will clean the dust by using roller,soloniod value and wiper.
