Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryRenewable energy production is the top priority of everyone. Now a days due to the high energy demand, the use of solar panels increases as compared to the previous years. The increase in demand different Companies appears in production for PV module. Due to Poor quality control and race for cost reductions creating different problems in Modules. Different grades and degradation with passage of time of PV modules, consumers are facing problems regarding health and optimizing of output efficiency.
Project Objectives- This Project will helps us to monitor Solar panels health and improve the Output efficiency.
- The Hardware will enable user to predict the fault in PV module
- The Communication Centre of Hardware will enable User to store and analyze data for specific time period.
The monitoring system will consist of different hardware components integrated with web based application. All the data can be seen over the internet from anywhere in the world. This monitoring system will consist of following items:
- Microcontroller (Arduino Mega or Uno) / Intelligent Computer ( Raspberry Pi )
- Op-Amp Circuit
- Thermistors
- Servos
- Solar Panel
- LED’s
- LDR
- Diodes
- Transistors
- Wires
- Software Designing
1- This System will enable User / Energy Production Units to predict the generation of Energy in coming days.
2- This will also indicate fault in PV System and let the user to find the specific faulty PV module
3- The system will have an optimizing tool which enable user to optimize the energy production.
4- The system will also enable user to analyze the data for specific time period (If needed)
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final Deliverable will consist of a hardware system with integrated Software to use with everytype of PV System
