Project Summary

Outbreak of COVID-19 in the December of 2019 brought the entire world to a standstill within no time. An enormous number People lost their jobs as the businesses, established from many decades collapsed. However, slowly but surely world is now moving in a new direction – searching for new ecommerce platforms and utilizing present web and internet resources to reestablish their businesses so to stay competitive in this new economic environment. Our project entitled as Social E-commerce Platform aims to target vast number of internet users, and for now it just an online clothing startup as well as at the same time, providing the users a safe environment where they can shop for their favorite clothing brands without any danger of getting themselves infected.

Project Objectives

The key objectivies are given below:

1. Local shopkeeper can sell product on the internet easily.

2. Customer can compare price of products by vast number of shopkeepers selling same product.

3. We can build a online market where local shopkeepers can register his/her shop with zero investment.

4. There is  affordable percentage of profit by the platform. 

5. Customer can easily switch shop to shop for compare of prices and varities.

6. Pakistani audience can easily understand the power of online selling and buying.

7. Shops can be define in interactive way in which product can be highly manageable and easily accessible by the customers.  

Project Implementation Method

This idea will implemented by the following way

1. Market Survey:-  It involves the problems facing by the local shopkeepers to switch online. Now, it also need a medium to make this successful, so for this purpose we need questionaries and interview by the shopkeepers.

2. Availibility of Device:-  There were 164 million registered mobile users in Pakistan through which 45pc are using 3G and 4G connections were recorded in January 2020, published by https://datareportal.com/reports/digital-2020-pakistan, so by taking care of this index we will make responsive web site and android mobile app which in future become cross-platform(both on Android and IOS).

3. Designing Interface:-  It involves the implementation of UX (user experience) design by which local Pakistani audience can easily communicate with platform.

4. Product Showcase:- For capturing outstanding product images, we need good tripod stand which is benefical for capturing focused product images.

5. Deployment:- It involves final delievery product.

6. Marketing Strategy:- It involves tutorials and interactive social media ads, and Poster Designing. For implementation this we need a good graphic card, to renders images and videos and good microphone to record professional voice recordings for tutorials.

• Easy payment methods will used which reduce the bulk of documentation process as Pakistani targeted audience, we will introduce JazzCash and Easypaise, and also Cash of Delievery option.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

1. Requirements gathering

The phase after communication, requirement gathering. In this we gather all the requirements of market and paste it on the document.

2. Web development

In this phase, we start to develop the platform using website.

3. Android development

In this phase, we go to develop android version of our website.

4. Creating Database

In this phase, we build a database for our both web platform and android platform

5. Tools and Languages

Our tools for building, Web Platform, we will use HTML/HTML 5, CSS/CSS 3, Bootstrap/Bootstrap 3/4/5, Javascrip, JQuery, and for android we will use Android Studio and java language, and for database we will use MySql, and for testing purpose we will use XAMMP Local Server. 

6. Hardware Requirements

As this is a big project then it requires big storage capacity. So for this we need a good SSD atleast 1tb. SSD because speed also requirement to read and write data, and SSD fulfills this requirement. And also apart from this, a good RAM is beneficial for overall performance of system, and this project requires at least 16GB RAM for best performance in project.
