Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryAs we know water is our basic need and water becomes scarce, the importance of water management grows vastly. So, it is our responsibility to save our basic need. We make this project to save water and digitalize our country. The project is based on Internet OF Things (IOT). In this project we design a mobile application that will tell us the exact volume of water in a tank. If the volume of a water is low than the specific level then the message would be generated on a mobile App in very less time. It will also generate a message on a mobile application when the volume is higher than the specific level. After receiving the message, we will turn on the motor pump if the volume of a water is less than the average level, same as the motor pump will be turned off if the volume of a water will exceed than the specific level. But there is a possibility if the user is unavailable for responding application then it will automate the water pump ON and OFF. The user can also turn on and off water tap through mobile app if he/she forgets to turn off the tap.
Project ObjectivesSmart Water Tank makes lifestyle comfortable such as:
- To save water.
- To save time of people.
- To do work effectively manner.
- To save electricity.
- To digitalize people.
The sensor used in this project detect the water level in the tank and send this value in to the database. The system will check the water level matches with the level that we specified for our water tank or not, if the level exceed from the specified level then it automatically turns off the motor and also generates the notification on the Android App. If the water level low then the specified level then the motor is turned on automatically. The user can also turn on the motor by getting a message on the Android App. We also provide this functionality for the user.
Benefits of the ProjectThe purposed Smart Water Tank system design based on to overcome the wastage of water problems. The accessibility of the information will be the great advantages as it reduce the electricity cost.
Benefits:
- It will save water from huge wastage.
- It will reduce human effort and time to go and turn on the tank switch, although human can also turn on or off by WIFI.
- It will reduce electricity consumption as solar plates will provide current.
Final Deliverable will contain
- A smart water tank that will be controlled remotely through Android mobile. This smart tank will work according to given commands from android phone and it will also be able to follow a pre-defined instruction on its own if the user is unable to communicate.
- An Android app.
- A power button from android app can on and off water tank from anywhere any time. An automation module which will work through Android app and ultrasonic sensor.
- User can off the tap if he/she forgot to turn it off through mobile app.
