Project Objectives- To maintain the balance between real power and apparent power in the circuit in order to fully utilize the incoming power.
- The core objective of this project is to improve power factor in order to reduce the electricity bill.
- To make it easy for user to monitor the efficiency of the their system pf,power quality,money saved on a app on their smart phone.
Implention method
- Static Capacitor
We know that most of the industries and power system loads are inductive that take lagging current which decrease system power factor, For power factor improvement purpose Static capacitors are connected in parallel with those devices which work on low power factor
These static capacitors provides leading current neutralize the lagging inductive component of the load (i-e.leading component neutralize oe eliminate the lagging component of load current ,thus power factor of the load circuit is improved .
Benefits of the Project- Capacitor bank offer several advantages over other methods of power factor improvement.
- losses are low in static capacitors.
- There is no moving part,therefore low maintainance .
- It can work in normal condition
- Do not reqire foundation for installation
- They are light weight.
