The aim of the project is to design a prototype module based on smart surveillance system. The resulting system is expected to be utilized to identify the registered students in a class on real time bases during class timing to mark their attendance. The prototype module will consist of a hardware and software. The hardware component will have smart machine with surveillance camera, to be used to capture the single picture of whole classroom during class timing and extract the facial features of each student (attendee) from the captured image. The software component consists of students data base system as well as context aware techniques. During the image extraction procedure, the machine identifies the individual student of particular class and automatically mark the student’s attendance. In addition, the Smart Surveillance System Based on Real-Time Identification will send the exacted features to data base system where features mapping will be performed. When the features is matched, the smart machine shows the presence of students in class room else machine consider the students as absent. On the bases of context aware techniques, the smart system will send the classroom action based activities on cell phone of class teacher by using Hybrid Application.
The project objective is to Design and develop Smart Surveillance System Based on Real-time Identification (SSSBRI). The proposed system will perform the real time class monitoring and will also send various classroom activities alerts on class teacher cell phone via using Hybrid Application. The SSSBRTI system will also automate the students’ attendance system.
Phase One: The logical architecture of proposed system will be designed.
Phase two: Hardware Prototype system will be developed.
Phase Three: Required database and user graphic interface will be developed and designed.
Phase Four: Implementation of pre-defined rules for efficient surveillance
Phase Five: Compression will be performed by other existing system.
Phase Six: System Performance will be evaluated
Automat the class attendance system by using face recognition techniques
Real time class monitoring
Generates alerts and disseminate them on class teacher cell phone
Provide paperless environment
Provide web and hybrid application platforms to execute the class activities
The designed smart surveillance system will recognize students by applying the face recognition and computer vision technologies
The system will capture an image of whole class and extract the features from the image and than compare the features with existing image in database system
High level database will be designed to store student images
