Project Summary

We are developing an echo system for the students and retailers of the University to make their transactions cashless. It will help students to do all money base transactions quickly and save their time. All students have their student ID cards and currently its purpose is only identification of the student. Most of the students have their bank accounts, easyPaisa and jazzCash accounts but it’s difficult to remember all the card’s security PIN codes and information of all the cards and accounts. So, we will provide to student a Smart Student ID Card which will perform money base transactions through its all accounts using this SSIC within the premises of university.

Retailers also have an account for receiving all payments thorough this card.   This card will also be helpful for Retailers to perform large number of transactions in short time. Retailers have also their accounts which will be linked with their EasyPaisa, JazzCash or Bank accounts and all payments given by the Students will be added into retailer’s account.

 

Project Objectives

JazzCash, EasyPaisa and all banks ATM cards are performing this type of transaction by their own cards, but our scope is to provide a Machine or Card scanner to retailer and Smart Student identity Card to student. Student has a preload wallet/account and it will be loaded by an admin physically. Student will pay cash and admin receive it and deposit into student’s account and student can use it anywhere in university and out of university where university related discounts are offered for transactions.

• Retailer makes the student’s bill.
• Student will give the SSIC and Retailer scan it.
• System will verify and validate SSIC and deduct the amount from its account’s balance and deposit into Retailer’s account.
•  If student don’t have enough balance for current transaction then system show massage “You’ve insufficient balance, please recharge your wallet”.
• The machine will provide the receipt to user.

Project Implementation Method

We need 5 to 6 QR Code scanners for scanning student card. Student card has QR code on this back-side and it will be scanned by QR code Scanner. So we also need 12 to 16 Smart cards for testing.

Benefits of the Project

A student has an ID card which performs only a simple identification task in university and nothing else. So, we are going to make it smart in the smart world of technology. A student can perform all cash base transactions through his SSIC in the university campus. It will save the student’s time and money. Sometime retailer has not coins and change so it says that take it next time or sometimes they don’t bother to give it back and student or retailer forgot, that’s why it’s a wastage of student’s money, Also as on the University on all shops due to the rush of students, many students have to wait there to pay money. This consumes a lot of precious time of students.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We will provide a system, which is use to make the money transaction quickly. student card scan by hardware and software will handle all the background work like verification and validation. debit and credit of an account.
