That is the thought which rose in our mind hence, we decided to make a Something that would benefit not only the general public but can also acquired for Commercial Purposes.
Nowadays in Metro cities, People face a lot of problem in supermarkets to buy things using trolleys. Every time we need to push the trolley to the bring the trolley to the place where the object required by us is present. Imagine that there is a trolley which will follow you continuously wherever you go to the malls and grocery stores and carry the things you buy.
This trolley is not similar to the trolley we use now a days. It is the newer and innovative version of the basic trolley. This smart trolley consists of raspberry pi, barcode scanner, LCD display with Wi-Fi connection. With the help of barcode scanner which is present at the trolley connected with the raspberry pie and the customer can self-scan the product and aware of total cost of the bill as the overall information is displayed on the screen which is integrated on the trolley itself.
The purpose of the raspberry pi is to operate the overall system .It works as a mini computer.
Project Objectives- To eliminate all those long queues which a shopper experiences while shopping by installing a barcode scanner on it.
- To explore new horizons by connecting everyday useable stuff (Trolley in our case) to the internet.
- To eliminate the constant force that has to be applied to move the trolley by using a Pixy Sensor.
- To be able to show the customer the amount he/she has spent in case they are shopping under a budget by displaying the total amount spent on the LCD screen.
There are several steps implement to complete the project in which the first and the most necessary step is to first of all establishing a solid connection between all the motors, sensors and the raspberry pie which is ultimately connected to the trolley. Next, we have to make sure that our trolley is designed in a manner which attracts the buyer .
In the end, we have to market our product in the best possible way and convince the shopping malls owner that how our product would revolutionize the world of shopping as it is indeed implementable not only in huge shopping malls but also in mini marts as well
Benefits of the Project- This Project will help the people to reduce manpower required in moving the trolley loaded with stuff and will be also eliminate long queues at time of billing
- This can reduce the expenses incurred by the management.
- Users can be aware of the total bill amount during the time of purchase.
- Furthermore, it will revolutionize the world of shopping as people will not have to wait in long queues and also moving items from one place to another would become easier.
•As engineers, we think that we have to help the society through our technical knowledge. So, we decided to make the Human follower Trolley so as to help the customers of supermarket & malls.
•This smart trolley will also help the retailers to gain the attraction of customer.
