Smart Poultry Manager
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummarySmart Poultry Manager is a smart solution for Poultry Owners. The awareness of the health of poultry birds, as well as the quality of products, has increased.
Many problems arise while taking good care of the poultry birds as it is a very tedious and intricate task which demands a lot of alertness and minimum errors.
These sensitive creatures are prone to a lot of diseases which might be a hindrance to the business. Also, the labor required to do the job takes a lot of time and the cost is high. Introducing automation in the poultry industry has brought about enormous change in terms of observation and the need to stay aware of the recent condition of the farm. Where a lot of labor is required for the constant needs of the birds, this technology has helped in reducing manual work and give ease of operation to the workers as well as owners. IoT has made the operation of farm easy and very on the go. Due to this technology, the concerned person can get real-time data whenever required through a cloud and can make use of it to make any necessary changes to the current conditions. In this solution, we are introducing a system to control real-time temperature and humidity value detector. And we will use DHT sensors for detecting the temperature and humidity values. With the help of which the owner can view and handle the internal environment of the farm. It is a low cost and effective solution designed to help the user take good care of the poultry birds. Which will increase the output of this business as well as the quality of product
Project ObjectivesThe main goal and objectives of this project are:
- To give a smart solution for poultry farm owners
- To control the internal environment of the poultry farm through the sensor with android application
- To manage records like vaccination, sale, purchase, expenditure, branch, bird's batch, feed's, employee's and mortality through a web application.
We are using a waterfall methodology. The waterfall is a project management approach where a project is completed in distinct stages and moved step by step towards ultimate release to consumers. we make a big plan up front and then execute in a linear fashion, hoping there won't be any changes in the plan.
We have used waterfall methodology in the following manner
- Requirement gathering
- system design
There will be following benefits from this system
- Environmental monitoring inside poultry farm(such as temperature, humidity)
- Environmental control inside poultry farm(such as temperature, humidity)
- Good quality food
- Easily management of record of poultry farm(such as branch, batch, sale, purchase, expenditure, mortality, vaccination)
