A smart mirror can act as a personal assistant and notice board for learning activities. Smart mirror can show
weather, date, time, and also update of classes schedule of Electronics Department. To increase interaction
with the mirror user can be equipped with a Biometric feature. Smart mirrors can be used to display class
schedules and information that support the learning process. The screen will be turning on if the Chairman of
Electronics Department stands in front of the mirror. When the he leaves the mirror, the screen will be turned
off. Smart mirror includes Biometric sensor, Arduino Uno, Raspberry Pi as the main controller, and LED display
that is placed behind the mirror. This certainly can be an innovative way to improve the learning in the future.
The aim is to build an interactive smart mirror prototype based on Raspberry Pi. That
can recognize the Biometric system and display class schedules, and all the basic
information like time, weather, and calendar.
The objectives of the project are:
-To implement weather, calendar, date and time module in Raspberry Pi.
We have a new project on Smart Mirror Based Information System for Department of Electronics Engineering
It is difficult for the Chairman of Electronics Department, that he/she manually round of
the classrooms to note the activities of the teachers to see teacher is taking the classes
or not. By implementing project the Chairman of Electronics Department can monitor the
activities of the teacher, through in his own office. The Chairman can also watch the
class’s schedules of the teachers for a particular day.
The goal of the smart mirror is to increase a user’s productivity by saving them time.
