Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryWe are constructing Smartphone App with Mini Patient Monitor (SMPM) that is interfaced with multiple sensors. As it is a fast paced era of miniaturized technology where people want handy solutions and save time. We are going to connect multiple sensors with Raspberry Pi 3 and interfaced with 5’inch Touch LCD. The SMPM will read the number of heartbeats, blood pressure, body temperature, SPO2, ECG and Respiration. Since lungs are situated near the heart than breathing rate can also be detected. These readings will be shown on the smartphone app as well as LCD thus providing you with the basic medical record at your disposal and this device also provide telecommunication. There will not be any need of visiting physicians for examining such parameters or carrying multiple devices for such purpose. We will put certain coding in our programing for the calculation of parameters that are interlinked with each other.
Project ObjectivesThe aim of this project is to combine the multiple interlinked parameters within one device that is our Smart Mini Patient Monitor interfaced with multiple sensors so that our medical records are always at disposal. Since it is an era of miniaturized technology so the thermometer, ECG device, Respiratory rate device, SpO2 etc could be replaced by single small device.
Project Implementation MethodIn this project we are interfacing multiple sensors with a Raspberry Pi that will read interlinked parameters of heart and lungs. Those parameters could be read through Smartphone and other devices. App will be developed by software involving various formulae and that will come under biotelemetry.
Benefits of the ProjectWe are combining multiple parameters obtained from various devices into a single Smart Device. For that App is developed and all the data is always at our disposal in our Smartphone.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverance is in the form of Smart App device that gives output for breathing rate, blood pressure, ECG, body temperature and heart rate by reading it through SMPM.
