Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryThis project will provide an optimal solution for the medical representatives / sales man and retail pharmacist / medical store to perform their daily routine tasks through a mobile app. The intrinsic responsibility of the medical representative / sales man is to disseminate essential knowledge about their products (medicines), to get the feedback from the medical stores, to take orders and deliver them accordingly, whereas the retail pharmacists are providing the medicine orders / demands to medical representatives. Nevertheless, this is worthy to mention that they are performing all their tasks manually which is patently time taken and difficult to manage all data simultaneously.
In this project “Smart Medicine Distribution App”(SMDA) we are going to provide a mobile app through which user (medical representatives / sales man and retail pharmacist / medical store) can perform their tasks without restrain, that will save their time in order placing, improve dispensing of medicines timely and this will sufficiently enhance their capabilities, skills and work efficiency. This app will have different functions such as order placing, indication of available stock, order sharing or transfering between stores, suitable delivery time, guidance for best route for the distribution of medicines according to the invoices.
Project ObjectivesThe main objective of the Project “Smart Medicine Distribution App”is to manage
the details of medical representatives / sales man, retail pharmacist / medical store, medicines, companies, and medicine orders. The purpose of the project is to build an application program to reduce the manual work for managing the work of medical representatives / sales man and retail pharmacist / medical store. This “Smart Medicine Distribution App” can be easily installed in an android device and it will patently has the following benefits:

It will provide the cost effective and short route map to the medical representative to deliver the medicines.

In the case of emergency retail pharmacists can intimate to the medical representative that any specified product (medicine) is urgent required.

Medical stores can share medicines temporarily with each other, if one is in short and other is in access

This is faster mode of communication in all way regarding medicine supply order.
For the development of SMDA we would use “agile approach.” We have chosen this methodology because it will allow us to add more functions and modules to the project as per requirement. The agile approach will provide us flexibility in our project for adding more functionality later and it would not be needed to repeat the whole process of adding a function during its development.

A view can be any output representation of information, such as a chart or a diagram. Multiple views of the same information are possible, such as a bar chart for management and a tabular view for accountants.

The third part, the controller, accepts input and converts it to commands for the model or view.

For mobile app development we will use Android studio.

The app will cover GPS based location of each medical store and reps.

Usability is a quality attribute used to assess how easy the interface is to use. Usability is ease of use. It tells how user friendly the interface is.It includes memory-ability, learn-ability, and satisfaction. Our software interface will has all the above qualities. Any kind of user, whether he/she is a novice user or technical user they can easily understand the interface.
This App has graphical interface, we can see a map on the mobile that will show the all medical stores who are the customer of that specific medical representative. The red colour specifies medical stores are showing that they have some order of required medicines and medical representative have to deliver that medicine timely. The green colour of medical store will represent that they have sufficient quality of medicines.
ERFORMANCE
Our system’s response time will minimum and it will be dependent on the speed of internet connection. Performance should be good for high volumes of requests.
AVAILABILITY OF MEDICINE
By using this app medicine would be in the store/stock any time and patients will easily get it whenever they visit the store. This is beacuse the app automatically detects medicine shortage and generate alerts for both medical store and company. If the medicne is not available in the company then it detects which medical store has in access for short time sharing.
ROUTE PLANNING
For each visit of sales man this app calculates the shortest path from office or home to all the medical stores for saving time and fuel. The map will also represent short and cost effective road map for the guidance of medical representative / sales man. After the delivery medical representative / sales man will change the colour of medical store (green).
