Project Summary

Smart Irrigation System is a system with the help of which a user can irrigate the land remotely using smartphone. This system is a combination of both hardware and software. Hardware compnents are Arduino Uno, Water Pump, Wifi Module (work as client). The software is an Android App which is connected to the hardware through Google Firebase and works on internet. Android App shows the water level percentage on the mobile device and when water level fall from the user required water level then that App will notify the user and user can turn on/off motor from their smartphone.

Project Objectives

  • To provide conveience to the farmer for irrigation.
  • On-demand water supply to the plants.
  • To provide portability with respect to plant and land irrigation.

Project Implementation Method

Project is implemented in lands which will help in irrigation of plants, crops etc. Humidity Sensor detects water level in lands and percentage of humidity level is shown on Android Mobile App. The connection between mobile app and the proposed hardware is achieved through Google Firebase.

Benefits of the Project

  • Smart irrigation system means this system makes irrigation smart by using mobile phone.
  • This system is specially designed for the farmer but with some improvement and changings this project can also be used in other domestic and commercial areas.
  • This system can also be used to pump water from the well to house tanks.
