Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummarySmart Irrigation System is designed to ease the life of farmers who work day and night on their field for better irrigation. It helps the farmer by reducing their manual effort as it will automate the water supply. It is an inexpensive and user-friendly smart agriculture automation system which uses sensor to sense the moisture content of the soil and automate the water supply. A mobile application will be delivered for farmers to get real-time data of the sensors and get logs about the motor operation on different occasions. Application will also notify the farmer when motor will be turned on/off. Application will be delivered in two different languages (English/Urdu).
Project ObjectivesSmart Irrigation system helps to resolve all the issues by providing the features such as monitoring the soil moisture, humidity and temperature of the surroundings. Moreover, it provides the automation in turning on and off the motor. The farmers will be provided with a mobile application where they will be able to get all the details.
Project Implementation MethodSensors will be connected to the micro controller. Data from sensors will be send to database. Mobile application will fetch that data from database. Firebase database will be used. An android application will be built using java. MVC will be followed to ensure scalibility of project.
