Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryTo develop wireless health monitoring system that can monitor a human 24x7. This system consists of a number of parts. Controlling and data processing is done through the controller board(i.e. raspberry pi), all the sensors are connected to controller. Through this system, we can measure pulse, temperature and oxygen level. Through sensors, it is possible to measure all these values. All these analog sensors can be connected to controller. These values are then used for detecting any critical situation, an alert can be given as a massage/ call. Also, it is possible to monitor the person's health from any location in the world through the cloud. Data from sensors is uploaded to the cloud periodically without any interruption if the internet is available.
Project Objectives- To design and implement a low cost and low power systemthat can be used on regular basis and monitors the vital parameters based on IOT.
- To design a system which continuously monitor the vital parameters such as pulse rate, temperature and oxygen level and update the data through mobile app.
- To reduce health care cost by reducing physician office visits, hospitalization and diagnostictesting procedure. The 4G/wifi technology update the patient data on cloud and mobile app.
Methodology depends on IOT, which works as
Sensors-> processing unit-> cloud-> application
Dht11 - Measures temperature and humidity and send it to raspberry pi board.
Max30100 - Measures pulse rate and oxygen level and send it to raspberry pi board.
Thonny python/python idle 3.9 - Coding to read and write the sensor's values, update the values to the cloud.
Thingspeak cloud - All parameters are updated to cloud where it is stored. It also reacts when there is any critical condition.
Application- Used to monitor the patient from across the world.
Benefits of the Project- Patient's real time health can be monitored through the mobile app from across the world.
- Reduce the life threatning risk of patient on time.
- Minimize visits of doctor. Keeping in mind, the covid 19 situation patient's health can be monitored remotely.
- The vitals parameters are displayed on the lcd screen to monitor the person's health at patients place.
- These parameters are updated on cloud time by time and stored there for record.
- Application used to monitor the person's health remotely.
- Buzzer is fired at patients place in case of emergency.
- The cloud also react in case of emergency and resukts in firing the call at doctor's phone.
