Introduction:

The main focus of this project is to manage energy(units) of our domestic load. The management of energy can be done if we can easily monitor and control our load. In this project we are monitoring our load by mobile phone through which we can analyze our units, cost of units, ampere and power consumed by load. After monitoring our load we can control our load through mobile phone by simply ‘on’ the smart control option. Our domestic load are connected with different sensors like PIR sensor is connected with light.so light will be turn on automatically when a person enter in the room and temperature sensor are connected with ac. Sensor sense the room temperature and automatically turn on the ac. In this project we have also given the limit of units(i.e 200 units) to our system if our set units are equal to consumed unit then we get alert message and the system automatically turn off our load.

Conclusion :

    After implementing the above project we can easily monitor and control our energy and by Smart Meter we can calculate average use of energy. It will replace conventional method of metering, monitoring and control.

Project Implementation Method

Project Implementation The main focus of this project is to manage energy(units) of our domestic load. The management of energy can be done if we can easily monitor and control our load. In this project we are monitoring our load by mobile phone through which we can analyze our units, cost of units, ampere and power consumed by load. After monitoring our load we can control our load through mobile application by simply ‘on’ the smart control option. Our domestic load are connected with different sensors like PIR sensor is connected with light.so light will be turn on automatically when a person enter in the room and temperature sensor are connected with ac. Sensor sense the room temperature and automatically turn on the ac. In this project we have also given the limit of units(i.e 200 units) to our system if our set units are equal to consumed unit then we get alert message and the system automatically turn off our load.

Smart meter:

With Arduino programming we will make smart meter. for this we need current and voltage. As voltage will be fixed in ever load and we will get ampere according to our load.(P=V*I) When we get both voltage and current we will multiply it in Arduino. After multiplication our power meter is formed when we multiply power with time we will get units E=P*t .

Smart monitoring:

Arduino is calculating current, power , unit and bill of our home appliances which will be displayed in liquid crystal display (lcd). For this we will interface our arduino with lcd.

Smart  control:

For the purpose of control we have attached bluetooth module with Arduino and we will get alerts in our mobile phone regarding our bill and also we will control our load using mobile phone.

  • With Smart control system home appliances can automatically switch on or off .
  • With mobile application consumer can control load from anyplace with there mobile phone,
  • With smart Alert system consumer will get units in their mobile phones through message.  
  • Due to efficient monitoring and control less units are consumed.
  • As less units are consumed more money will be saved.
