Talking about user end, it helps the user to monitor view and report activities happening currently with in-use electricity. User can monitor total usage of units up-coming average billing details current flow and fluctuation. He can report any activity using android application.
On administration panel, there are privileges provided to vendor offices on basis of their own ranks like they can manage user information control current flow or even totally stops if any illegal thing happens (like frequently non-paying users).
Our aim is to convert manual monitoring system and billing system into more efficient ,smart and user friendly system .we use firebase for speed and android for mobility.it will make ease for user to check and balance on one tap and vendor can easily take necessary measure for any complaints in a better and smart way.
Project ObjectivesOur main project is divided into different objectives.
• Smart monitoring of voltage.
• Android application for use.
• Run time data storage and display.
• Remote based access to supplier.
• Remote based control on electricity flow.
• Web app and portal system for every user.
Project Implementation MethodOur system will be combination of IOT devices and sensors.
It includes Arduino UNO for data management and display. It may act as a brain of the system. Node MCU will be used to share data from device to database and we will use GSM to internal access. Relay Module channel 2 will be used for maintenance of electricity.
The hardware will be connected with website and app.
App will be developed using android studio and SDK as a plugin. Website will be developed with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJs and typescript.
Simple and easy user interface with fast database access will be provided in app.
Front end is made with some user-friendly graphics and backend is totally developed with the help of smart languages like Kotlin, Java and some functions of JavaScript.
Web system is for vendors and its portal contains data of every user and vendor can easily access that data from database.
Benefits of the ProjectThe use of this device will easier life of consumers and suppliers of electricity like Wapda in Pakistan. It provides in house display for consumers and on their android phones via mobile application. The in-home display will show you exactly how much electricity you’re using as well as the associated cost. Now consumers don’t have to estimate their monthly bills this smart meter will do this for them and provide them accurate bills.
The biggest advantage for suppliers is that their data will be more up-to-dated. It Eliminates the manual monthly meter readings done by line mans. Consumer and suppliers can monitor the system in real time.
