Smart City An Automated Framework
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe ultimate purpose of smart city mission is to develop cities to update architecture and give preferable benefits to the citizens of country. The desire of smart city is to attract the citizens by providing them a city services like lightning, traffic management, public parking and electricity etc. It is designed for the optimal consumption of resources, space and distribution of benefits. It also increases connectivity among citizens at different level as well as in administration. More development results in migration of people towards cities in search of employment and better living conditions that causes the problem of overpopulation in cities and shortage of resources. Here comes the concept of smart cities. With development the technology grows, the IoT and digital technology can be used in planning of smart cities for resolving several issues. For finding parking spot in an area with no hassle, managing traffic in an effective way, collecting toll tax automatically that reduces congestion on road, energy saving automatic street lights, ease irrigation and monitoring of fields, automatic waste management that cost less human effort and time or controlling house even from remote locations all of these makes a city smart.
Project Objectives- Design Smart City.
- Writing algorithms for Modules of Smart City.
- Implementing all Modules of Smart City.
- Design Smart City.
- Programming of Modules.
- Assembling of equipments (Arduino, NodeMCU, Sensors).
- Hardware and software interfacing.
- Testing and bug fixing.
- Learning:This project involves learning and study of new technologies such as:-
- Integration of communication devices.
- Arduino, which is a microprocessor based development board with unique features.
- Utilization: Smart cities use technology solutions to enhance city services and therefore the living experience of residents. Municipalities use IoT sensors, networks, and applications to assemble relevant data, like holdup, energy usage, and air quality. This data can then be employed by technological solutions to enhance city services, including utilities, transportation, and public services.
