We will mainly be focusing on constructing a smart black box for cars which will record all the activities of the vehicles . They are sometimes many deaths due to road accidents and people don’t know the cause because of the activity of the driver so our project will solve this issue . Secondly sometimes a car is stolen mostly because of its worth or due to robberies , hence the black box will also collect data about any driver through face recognition AI which will store the suspects image in its database . secondly all of the voice data will be saved that occurred during accident which might help to discover that how the accident happened in the first place. Thirdly there will be a find my car feature that will show the direct location of the car on mobile application. And final and optional feature will be drowsiness detection if our AI finds that the driver is about to sleep than it will alert the driver at the moment. And fourth feature will warn the driver if he is found driving in drowsy condition.
Our first objective is to make the device as economical as possible so that people can offord to buy it. second objective is that we estimated to complete this project in 7 seven months and 2 months for testing phase . 3rd objective is the scope , according to our estimates our product can be a game changer in the E taxi line and we are keen to find ourself a sponsor . 4th objective is the quality we plan to use the best hardware available and with the best tool to make this happen , we will use artificial intelligence of the most accurate level and that to in real time becuase that's what our project is about.
the raspberry pi 4 , 4 gb ram will be used to implement the whole system since it is a miniature computer with fast processing power it can easily handle all the features of our project but a mobile application will also be designed to ful fill client needs as an aspect of security . however a bunch of more sensors will be needed in order to accomplish the final product , like high quality infrared cameras , microphone , gps , gsm , picam , google coral for fast processing and etc . to implement all the features we will use python ( keras ). however it is possible we might have to deploy model on cloud for that purpose flask will be used along with the docker. to train the models we will use google collab however in some condition our personal computer will be used.
The first benefit of the project is that it ensures the safety of the driver firstly by measuring if the driver is about to sleep or not so it will reduce the amount of accidents , secondly if a accident happens the audio recording of the car will specify why the accident happens in the first place . another benefit will be that it will prevent the chances of theft and if someone somehow is able to steal the components of the car his face data will be saved , this type of product can be used in e-taxi services like uber , careem where we have a lot of issues regarding the security of customers. thirdly making our cars smart by adding this smart black box this will uncover a whole bunch of possibilities and applications are uncountable like it will be a diamond for insurance companies where they want to monitor their cars.
our final product will be a box based device , on which we will have multiple components attached like camera , gps , mic etc , the device will be connected to the internet to send the data to database real time for that sim will be used . along with the box an android application will be built which will be used to edit, control and view the details of smart black box .this application will be built using react native , now for the database side we will either use the mongoDB or Firebase.
