Project Summary

Electricity is an important resource for any country. Its consumption has been increasing everyday which in turn, increases the supply and hence, the increase in demand. By predicting the bill of the next few months, we can help reduce the electricity consumption at the residential level and thus, overall reduction.The primary objective of this project is to develop an application that predicts the electricity bill of the next few months on the basis of previous electricity consumption data using Machine Learning. This helps the user to be prepared financially and help them reduce the consumption according to it. Also it reduces electricity consumption at the residential level which will help save the national energy resources.

Project Implementation Method

This application will help the user reduce their electricity consumption by predicting the next month’s bill on the basis of past one-year’s data.

The work will be done in three phases:

1st Phase includes:

Benefits of the Project

This application will:

• Let the user know about the next month’s bill so they could reduce their electricity use and save money.

• Help masses with the problems being faced and ease the tensions between the provider, which in our case is K-Electric, and consumers and build a better environment.

• Help reduce the electricity consumption on the residential level.

• Help the user in order to get economical electricity bill.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This project will focus on developing a mobile application that lets the user control their consumption by predicting the electricity bill for the next month on the basis of the previous data using Machine Learning.
