That’s why advancement and addition of newer technology in agricultural mechanics and processes will lead to development of country. This will result in productive growth of country in agricultural field. Every day we see new inventions. These inventions make human jobs easier. Seed sowing is also a harder job to perform as it needs man power which becomes costly and time consuming. But making it automated through devices this will becomes easy to do. This robot will sow seeds automatically by moving on its defined path with the help of IR sensors on its front. It will consists of a seed box and robotic structure which will be controlled by mobile and web application. These applications will consists of on/off button and seed drooping mechanism controls along with measurements including temperature and humidity. It will be operated by both batteries and solar energy. Through mobile application we can examine humidity and temperature of place where we are going to sow seeds with the help of sensors. This will help farmers to examine conditions of soil and environment where we are going to sow seeds. We can see these measurements in real time. Through a button on mobile application we can also control the seed mechanism that ho much quantity of seed we have to drop or on how much distance to drop seeds. We can also see the remaining quantity of seed in the box and the records of seeds which are dropped from the box. All of this data can be saved on database. An iron strip on front of robot will dig soil if there is a need. After that seed box will drop seed. After dropping seeds another iron strip on the back will cover those seed with soil if needed. We can also control how much soil to be dig with the help of application.

For seed sowing we need extra man power and time which makes our job very difficult. For this purpose, we designed this robot which consists of Arduino UNO, ESP32 to control it remotely, IR Sensors for defining a proper path, different sensors to examine conditions like temperature & humidity and a mobile application to control it. This robot will move on our defined path in fields with the help of IR sensors. Iron strip on front will dig soil and after that seed box will drop seeds according to our need. The quantity of seed can be controlled by mobile application. It has a seed box which drops seeds and alert is generated when box is empty or near to empty and this alert is sent to operator of this robot. We can also check seed box status on application interface. Arduino UNO and its motor shield will control the movement of robot motors. This robot will move on predefined path and drop seeds. It will dig soil by vertical iron strip on its front. After this robot will drop seeds from seed box. On the back there is horizontal strip which will cover seed with soil if there is a need.

The mechanism of strips and their height can also be controlled by mobile application according to need.

Benefits of the Project

The purpose of this robot is to overcome the problem we face in sowing different kinds of seeds in fields. This robot will overcome these problems and help farmers to work efficiently.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We propose a seed sowing robot which allows us to sow seeds in fields and also check the different parameters like temperature and humidity.

The final deliverable will contain a robot with seed box. It consists of Arduino UNO which is based on ATmega328 microcontroller. The system uses IR sensors to detect its path, temperature and humidity sensors to check further parameters in fields. Arduino UNO motor shield will control the movement of robot according to path. Esp32 Wi-Fi module will connect the robot with mobile application to control it.

The system will be operated by rechargeable batteries or solar energy if there is a need.

The seed box on robot will drop seeds according to need and this mechanism is controlled by mobile application that how much seed to drop. The alert is generated when the box is near to empty or becomes empty. Moreover we can see record of dropped seeds in field.

This system can be controlled through mobile application and web portal by which the system becomes more reliable and efficient to operate. The Wi-Fi modem on our system will send data to database which is designed for or system.
