Project Objectives- To develop a CPS, which monitors environmental parameters based on the existent IEEE 802.11 infrastructure.
- To employ sensors measuring the ambient or the environment, which send messages to an IoT platform using UDP.
- To apply data encryption techniques to our proposed CPS to make it more secure remotely.
- To improve CPS-IoT security by proposed Segmented IoT Platform Network Architecture
In this proposed project paper, we are going to develop a Secure Cyber- Physical System (CPS) that monitors the environmental conditions or the ambient conditions in indoor spaces at remote locations. The communication between the system’s components is performed using the existent wireless infrastructure based on the IEEE 802.11 b/g standards and the IoT modules or may be performed using the ZigBee Standards (IEEE 802.15.4) and the IoT modules. Since from the past years there is a massive development in the field of CPS, but these systems have lake of security, whenever access from remote locations. Thus, our proposed Secure Cyber- Physical System can overcome these security issues. Moreover, the communication protocol and the design of the nodes help in achieving low power consumption, offering battery lifetimes of several years. The system eliminates bulky solutions, provides the possibility of logging data where Wi-Fi network coverage exists, and can be used in a wide range of monitoring applications. Thus the resulted solution provides the possibility of secure(encrypted) logging measurements from locations all over the world as well as visualizing and analyzingthe gathered data from any device connected to the Internet.
Benefits of the ProjectThis project provides benefits in securing the secsors when access online at reote areas using IoT Platform.
