SCADA Base Solar Irrigation System
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryIn this project we have developed an GSM based SCADA system for controlling, monitoring the irrigation system and managing the power source and consumption of the turbine implanted in field. It also observe such parameters like weather condition, water level and moisture in agricultural land.
In this we can monitorize all the data and cotrol via IP address from anywhere in the world by just a click away.A elegant gui is provided to the user for managing all the control of its field.Parameter like humdity,Voltage,Current, weather can be feed up on the paticular ip and from there a user can access to these parameter by loging in to that IP.It will enble farmer to manage his farm without manpower and by using IOT.
On the completion of this project a farmer will be able to irrigate his field automatically and able to control via his mobile phone and he can also control, observe and extract data by using connected computer by using SCADA software.
Project ObjectivesIt will enable farmers to water their lands without using manpower.By this Water will be delivered where it is needed. It will save the time as the timer delay as per environment can be added to the system for automatic watering. It will develop a system that automatically regulate the moisture of the soil.It will helpul in generating the better yield in the less time .It will also helpful to save the water as according to research 60% of the water is wasted because of poor irrigation system. These fact are discussed in detail in the latest research report titled “Water Requirements of Major Crops in the Central Punjab” published by Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR).
Project Implementation MethodWe divide our project in four phases. Which make it easy to reach at completion in short time.
1-Research on latest available peripherals.
2-Design and simulate on software's.
3-Make an fine model of design.
4-Implant at farm site.
Benefits of the ProjectIt will helpfull to the farmer for generating the better yield by saving the water and the power.
It will helpful to control all the parameter by one click.
Manpower should be reduced,
Water loss during irragition will be reduced.
No physical presence is needed at the farm for controlling.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThis project is scada base.Solar cells be the source of power which will used to run the turbine. The core heart of this project is "Variable frequency drive".By using PLC of VFD we will control the parameter.Voltmeter and Ammerter will be used to display the value of voltage and current. For the Voltmeter and Ammeter we are using the ARDUINO UNO, non-invasive current sensor clamp,ZMPT101B and color display etc.Humdity Sensor DHT11 will be used to display the humdity of field.Weather sensor will control display the weather conditions.
