Project Summary

Internet is a primary source for students to get information about disciplines like medical, engineering, sports, news, promotions, books etc. Information is available to many users across different websites. Stack-Overflow, Quora, Chegg, ASP.Net discussion forum etc, plays an important role for promoting information with its community at free of cost.

Student feel emotionally and have inferiority complex because of which they do not ask question in the class. Information that student can gather on the said websites are in huge amount that becomes confused by students because it came from different people with different understanding level. On these platforms, all topics were discussed but student have to gain knowledge about a course that he/she taught in the university. No such platform where contents are placed, organized and control by student itself. Student have information about new updated on different course content but they don't have any platform, that facilitate them to promote information with their fellows.

In order to give comforts to students to search and add information about courses that he/she taught in university, only with their fellows, propose an idea of formal discussion forum website for students of COMSATS Attock. Website name is SAWAL stands for Seek, Ask, Way-out, Answer, Learn. Student can register themselves with their own unique registration number provided by the institute. SAWAL send invitation request to the teacher to participate in discussion forum. Teacher can act like a moderator who validate answer that is coming from students and post their own answers to question. Question will be asked by student to their fellows or help others by answering to fellow's question. Student can post question as a text, that is then used by classifier to predict Course Name in which they fit in. Students and Teachers can see questions of students in news feed. Student can submit an answer to the question that is then only validated by the teacher by casting a vote. Vote of teachers on student's answer, encourages the student to participate in the discussion. Teacher can also add their own answer to help student about a particular query. Teacher and Student can report any answer, in case of any wrong information that is spread across website, which is then taken into account by SAWAL help and support desk. SAWAL is able to observe students activites like voting, searching, answering, questioning and previous content to recommend new question and show related contents to its students in which they are interested in. In case of any query SAWAL help and support  option listen to the complaints, queries of students to solve problems or help them as early as possible.

Project Implementation Method

Software development life cycle (SDLC) is a series of phases that provide a common understanding of the software building process. Selecting SDLC model based on project context and requirements.

With the use of Incremental SDLC model, project is developed in increments.
