To support the right of women to travel late at night, SaveJourney is a mobile app dedicated to the safety and protection of women. These women's protection applications concentrate on inspiring women to live fearlessly and to comfortably explore the world, keeping their family members and close friends aware of their whereabouts.

Nearly 800,000 children are reported missing each year, according to the National Center for Missing and Abused Children (citing statistics from the U.S. Department of Justice). That's 2,000 a day more than that. The NCMEC says that 203,000 children are abducted by family members each year.

SaveJourney is an app that focuses on women's safety to reduce the rate of crime against women and increase their safety.

It immediately updates you if your loved ones are in an emergency or need some kind of assistance. This app is one of the quickest and simplest ways to update your loved ones with your data and other information.

All you have to do is say help Keyword to activate a SaveJourney app through voice recognition or you can also activate the app through Mobile shaking, and the alert is sent to your loved ones along with your location on the google map. It's not just along with it, it also captures images from the front camera and the back camera. These images can be accessed via a link that is sent through an SMS alert.

Project Objectives

1. The main objective of the system is to provide a reliable safety system for women who are alone or feel unsafe. Today, women face physical harassment in public places, schools, and workplaces or while traveling. Most cases of physical harassment occur when women are alone or while traveling.

2.Provide parents with a sense of security for their child today. 

3.This mobile application is helpful for women.

4.Using SaveJourney can reduce the number of cases in society. With the help of this application, women will be alerted to unknown locations. So that she'll be ready for any situation. The application can also be used for Machine Learning, which can be used to monitor the sound produced by the environment and to classify the word, to make comparisons, and thus to identify the level of threat.

5.This project proposes a new model for women's safety in public places, which aims to provide a 100% safe environment. Every woman must feel free to travel anywhere by notifying her of the red alert area and providing the emergency panel that is activated whenever she moves to the red alert area by providing her with safety at each step.

6.Areas can then be prepared with preventive measures. The request for the safety of women shall provide alerts with notification and Emergency assistance.

Project Implementation Method

SaveJourney is a women and children safety alarm and emergency contact notification tool which sends alert messages and GPS position to emergency contacts(at least 5 in the saved list) on activation. The app keeps on sending messages, every minute unless the alarm is turned off using the secret disarm code. SaveJourney can also send your GPS location and also a recording of what going on around you in case of an incident in form of video and audio of 20 sec. It can be activated by shaking the phone/ volume up button/voice recognition(like in an emergency the woman call for help in an emergency situation through the help keyword the app is activated)

Benefits of the Project

This application is beneficial for the children and Woman safety in Emergency Situations.

In today’s world, people using smartphones have increased rapidly,and hence, a smartphone can be used efficiently for personal security or various other protection purposes. The heinous incident that outraged the entire nation has wakened us to go for the safety issues and so a host of new apps have been developed to provide security systems to women via their phones. This Android Application for the Safety of Women and this app can be activated this app by a single click, whenever the arises. A single click on this app identifies the location of place through GPS and sends a message comprising this location URL to the registered contacts and also calls on the first registered contact to help the one in dangerous situations. In SafeJourney the unique feature of this application is to send the message to the registered contacts continuously for every five minutes until the “stop” button in the application is clicked. Continuous location tracking information via SMS helps to find the location of the victim quickly and can be rescued safely.

SaveJourney is a android app development project, if we divide its technical development into different parts its major parts are as follows.

1. Prototyping: The initial phase after the communication, requirements gathering and planning is prototyping. For the prototyping of Adobe Photoshop has been used and we also try with    Adobe XD because it is the all-in-one UX/UI solution for designing websites, mobile apps, and more.

1. Android App: For the development of SaveJourney  app : technologies used are  Android Studio(IDE) is used  and  For back end development we use Java language also for designing we use xml language

Firebase Database:  In our SaveJourney app we use a realtime database which will help us to store our data and manage our data easily and we also know For every project we need some data and for its storage and management different database are used. For the same purpose we need to create a database that will manage our project related data (For example: Details of Women who need help and has to save 5 contacts in her list for emergency alert
