These drones are tethered by a series of wires and wireless that send signals between the operator and the ROV. All ROVs are equipped with a video camera, propulsion system, and lights. The most important equipment is frequency controller and receiver which should be present in any drone.
Coral reefs are “rain forest” of sea. They are the source of nitrogen and other essential nutrients for the marine food chain. Reefs can effectively protect shorelines because of their ability to cause waves to break offshore, thus limiting the energy impacting the coastline. The fishing industry depends on coral reefs because many fish spawn there and juvenile fish spend time there before making their way to the open sea. Contributing factors, such as workload increases or staff reductions, and fiscal constraints. Like normal plant coral reefs need to look after and take care. So our project helps Marine Science to monetize and identify coral reefs.
We start our project at the research of our idea and design as well. After that we collect informartion about the the equipement of our ROV drone. The equipement should be counter the problem that we are facing through out the project. We first deign the body of drone. The design of drone is change three times in order to work in perfectly. After the design phase is done we work on camera module which we use ESP30 cause it is cheap and work effectively. After that we work on water proofing the camera module cause water proofing is the main problem. Cause it can damage the drone. Then we work on radar. Programmming of microcontroller is also a crucial. The DLC motor should be work perfectly when the microcontroller send the signal and rotate the propeller It is the main part of project. Then we connect it with freqency controller and receiver. Finally we water proof the whole body of drone.
Our project delivers a major impact on “Marine Science”. They need such devices to monitor the coral reefs growth. It can also be used for “Navy” purposes. •Our main targeted audience is Marine Science cause the idea of making a device that moves underwater and detect coral reefs is purposed by Marine Science. It take days and weeks to detect a single coral reef and monetizes it growth.Our product can be use for search operation.
In our project, the hardware dependency play’s a major part. Camera, light, pedals and sensor depend upon microcontroller. If microcontroller fail it collapse the drone. But frequency is also an important factor for drone to move wirelessly.Our completion criteria is based on movement of ours drone underwater and its pressure. It should be able to detect coral reefs on run time processor. It should be able deliver accurate results. It should be able to dive up to 50 meter (160 feet) and 2-3 hours.
