Security and safety have always become a basic necessity for the urban population. With the rapid urbanization and development of big cities and towns, the graph of crimes is also on the rise. The safety of private and public vehicles is a major concern nowadays so having GPS vehicle tracking system ensure their safety while travelling. This vehicle tracking system can be found in consumers vehicles as a theft prevention and retrieval device. microcontroller is interfaced serially to a GSM Modem and GPS Receiver. A GSM modem is used to send the position (Latitude and Longitude) of the vehicle from a remote place. The GPS modem will continuously give the data i.e. the latitude and longitude indicating the position of the vehicle. The same data is sent to the mobile at the other end from where the position of the vehicle is demanded. When the request by user is sent to the number at the GSM modem, the system automatically sends a return reply to that mobile indicating the position of the vehicle in terms of latitude and longitude in real time. Consumer can follow the signal emitted by the tracking system to locate a stolen vehicle. Basically, this system is meant to be installed for the Cars. 

This vehicle tracking System has been a backbone in crime, collecting Statistical data and more. With the help of this system a customer can consume 3 benefits Firstly, A Tracking of a stolen car. Secondly, it will be helpful to get update when you hire a driver for a home purpose example any family member which is on the way you can track a car for safety purpose. Lastly it is helpful for a parent too to keep an eye on their teenager. It is also beneficial for company with a fleet of public or private transport Vehicles Can SPY on their vehicles at any point time and at place. Our project intends to Serve this purpose and to help engage this facility in Pakistan transport system.

Project Objectives

The objective of this project to design and develop a vehicle Tracking System using GPS and GSM Technology. In order to implement the project, both GPS and GSM technologies have to be studied in depth.

The objective of this project is:

1) TO Study and invigilate the basic operation Of the GPS module. 

2) TO design and develop the GPS/GSM tracking system.

3) TO design the integrated hardware GPS/GSM

4) when consumer purchased this tracker, we will provide a unique key to registered their vehicle and so they can consume facility through an application. (0ne unique ID is for one single Car

5) Real time mapping to locate a vehicle through mobile Application.

6) Zoom-In and Zoom-out feature on the map 

7) Show the status of a vehicle either it will be parked or will be active.

Project Implementation Method

For FYP 1:

i.        Creating Hardware i.e Tracker

ii.       Ui Design User interface of mobile Application

iii.      Ui Design Of Apmin panel.

iv.      Integrating of Google Map Api.

v.       Establish GSM module with Pi.

vi.      CRUD operation on both module Admin panel and Mobile Application.

vii.    Create Restful Api for signup User through mobile Application.

For FYP 2:

i.        Integration between hardware and Mobile Application.

ii.       Integration between Mobile application and Admin panel.

iii.      Fully fucntional Google Map on Mobile Applicaton.

iv.      Activate Tracker with runtime monitor Car position on Map.

v.       Complete admin panel And Mobile Application.

vi.      CreatIng Test cases and Implementation to test.

vii.    Creating use case And activity Diagrams.

viii.   Documentation.

ix.      Final testing with user experience.

Benefits of the Project

The benefits from this project the users will consume is firstly the safety of the user, fos us the main purpose to make this project is to provide safety to our customers by having our tracking system. They can keep an eye on their cars anytime.
Like you can keep an eye on your drivers your womens(for safety),from being snatch.
Secondly, user can stop their car through mobile application if it sees any stranger.It will help people to keep the track of their assets.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This project shows the importance and application of the project.the application of this project is to give users a security system for their vehicles. As in today's world the rank of thefts and snatching is on its peak so our basic purpose is to provide a better solution to our people's problem. It can save alot of people going in to wrong hands as we all know that our daughters, sisters or children goes to education institute and we kept drivers for it so we can easily keep am eye on their routes .As there are many companies who had launched many tracker devices but our main purpose to provide this facility for personal use of a customer.The camera which we are using in our project to detect the user . The user who is registered in the application only then only car will take a start otherwise user will not be able to start a car.
Our tracker is installed in a car and current will be provided through a battery.
